he real story behind the viral $4,000 extensions meltdown — from two actual hairstylists who’ve seen it all.

When you work in the beauty industry long enough, you start to realize something very important: hairdressers don’t need Netflix. We are Netflix. Every day behind the chair has drama, comedy, plot twists, villains, heroes, and an occasional emotional support Stanley cup.

But every now and then, something happens in the beauty world that takes the chaos from “normal salon insanity” to “global viral event.”
And that’s exactly what happened when Hair by Chrissy, the queen of boho extensions, became the center of a TikTok firestorm so big the algorithm practically burst into flames.

Welcome to the TikTok Battle Royale — where receipts were pulled, Yelp was obliterated, assistants were dragged, and the entire beauty industry had something to say. And of course, we’re here to talk about it, because we’re hairdressers and gossip is our cardio.

This week on Sh!t I Told My Hairdresser, we break down the drama, the prices, the meltdown, and the truth — from the perspective of two licensed stylists who have actually done this work for decades.

Grab your snacks. Brush out your extensions. It's about to get messy.

The Calm Before the TikTok Storm

The episode opens like any other day in salon life — a little chaos, a little caffeine, and a whole lot of clients forgetting it’s tax season. (Yes, Karen, that’s why we’re busy.)

And then suddenly, TikTok delivered a gift:
A client claiming she paid $4,000 for extensions, was unhappy, and took it straight to the Internet court of public opinion.

You already know what happened next.

In 2025, TikTok is basically Judge Judy with ring lights.

Within hours, millions of people were stitching, dueting, analyzing, slow-motion replaying, and emotionally spiraling over extension wefts like they were nuclear launch codes.

But why this story?
Why this salon?
Why this level of rage?

Because it hit the perfect trifecta of viral content:

  1. Influencer hair salon

  2. Shocking price tag

  3. A client with a camera and nothing to lose

And boom — welcome to the arena.

The Price Heard ’Round the World: $4,000 for Extensions?!

Here’s the thing a lot of non-hairdressers don’t understand:
High-end extensions are expensive.
Not “expensive for fun,” but expensive because the hair, the labor, the wefts, the time, the technique, and the maintenance are a LOT.

And as stylists with decades behind the chair (that’s your EEAT), we can confidently say:
People have no idea what goes into luxury extension services.

But TikTok doesn’t care about nuance — it cares about shock value.

So when the client’s receipt hit the Internet, the beauty community entered full meltdown mode.

Suddenly everyone with $19 clip-ins had an opinion.
People who have never stepped foot in a salon were calling it “highway robbery.”
And extension artists everywhere were screaming internally.

Jason said it best:

“People want celebrity hair on a coupon-clipping budget.”

But the real issue wasn’t the price.
It was the communication — or the lack of it — between the client, the salon, and reality itself.

The Yelp Apocalypse & TikTok Fury

Once TikTok got ahold of the story, it was GAME OVER.

Habit Salon’s Yelp page got attacked harder than a Black Friday sale. Thousands of people — who had never been to the salon — dropped one-star reviews like they were participating in a group project nobody asked them to join.

It wasn’t even reviews anymore.
It was full novels.
People were writing Yelp fan fiction.

Even the hair assistants were dragged.
TikTok was stitching clips of them like they were characters in a reality show.

And once something hits that level of virality?
There’s no PR statement on earth that can stop it.

The Double Standard Nobody Talks About

Here’s where our actual experience matters.

Hairdressers are constantly told:
“Charge your worth! Know your value! Don’t apologize for your prices!”

But the moment a salon actually does charge luxury prices, the Internet burns them at the stake.

You see the problem, right?

We break this down in the episode because it’s something only people in the industry truly understand:

People want luxury results without luxury pricing.
They want influencer hair for $150 and a thank-you note.
And when reality doesn’t match expectations?
Suddenly it’s the salon’s fault.

Extensions Are Not a Drive-Thru Service

Here’s the simple truth from two stylists who have been doing this forever:

Extensions are not a bargain service.
They are not fast.
They are not cheap.
They require skill, specialized training, and HOURS of work.

People think we’re just slapping Barbie hair on someone’s head and calling it a day.

No.
This is surgery with beads.

And yet, every year, someone new discovers that luxury hair = luxury price.
And every year the Internet acts shocked.

So… Who Was Wrong?

This is where it gets fun.

Was the salon wrong?
Was the client wrong?
Was TikTok wrong?

The truth is:
Everyone was a little bit wrong.

The communication could’ve been better.
The expectations could’ve been clearer.
The transparency could’ve been stronger.
And TikTok… well… TikTok is just gonna TikTok.

What we know for sure is:
The drama was premium.
The chaos was delicious.
And the comments section was the Super Bowl of hairdressing.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: How you doing, Jack?

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: I said it first.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: I'm fantastic.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: That's wonderful to[00:01:00]

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Holidays are coming, you know, it's just like enjoying life right now. Fall. Beautiful. Gorgeous area, Seattle. Really enjoying it. You ready for the I Have you been fucking busy or what? It, it is been, it's already gotten fucking crazy. You know what I mean? So it's like the holidays are here, the salon's fucking going nuts.

You know? It's like Octo. Everyone always freaks out during October because people don't realize it's tax season. That's the win. Everyone that filed an extension. Does their taxes is in October and everyone always bitches that it's slow, you know? 'cause we had a A, actually my October was not that slow.

It's actually pretty fucking busy, but a lot of people were slow and it kind of slows down a little bit,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: I don't think it has anything to do with the taxes. it's just co and waves and have lives and.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: but it's always in October. And that's also the secondary tax seasons in October.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: I don't know. My [00:02:00] clients are not W2 clients to tell you the truth. So mine are the ones who own the businesses, and that's usually when they pay their taxes. So

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Okay.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: maybe yours are W2. You know, just keep it coming and going. I'm fucking with you.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: mine are, hemps and hookers and they don't taxes at all. So. I'm not really affected by this whole thing. So

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Make sure you get that penicillin shot. Yeah. Um, so we did a podcast called, what was it called? TikTok is the New Yelp.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yep.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: We did that with a couple weeks ago and when we did that, uh, it blew up. I it, we got a, a shit ton of people following us from that. Uh, thank you for following us. By the way, share our podcast.

If you don't mind. Uh, check, check us out on TikTok and on Instagram. [00:03:00] But, uh, we wanna say thank you because it's been awesome. Our numbers going up. Thank you so much. But this one really took off 'cause I think it, it really resonated with a lot of people

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: and since,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: mentioned that to me at the so.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: She was asking. She's like, this is actually a really good topic. And I was like, I know.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: That's why we did it.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: So since then, also on TikTok and again on Instagram is all the too something el, another one blew up. And it is been a big hot topic inside my salon and it has been this, uh, girl who went on to talk shit about, um, the salon called the Habit. And they have a couple in Arizona and one in Costa Mesa, and it's hair by Chrissy the girl, Chrissy owns a salon

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Mm-hmm.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: she does these extensions [00:04:00] and this little girl, like 19 years old, whatever, gets on TikTok and starts this rant and just starts bitching about what she paid for her service Now.

I'm sitting here kinda watching it and one of the girls in inside the salon, she was telling me about it and we're watching it and she's like, can you believe that this girl is charging $4,000 for extensions? She's like, that is crazy. And I, I'm like,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: So that's,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: looking at her and like,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: even all that

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: no, it's not that much money.

And I looked at her like, people don't charge that much. I go in LA absolutely.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Um, listen, I mentioned if, some actress went in and was like, Hey, I need to look like this for this movie role. and, and they do a haircut and the color and highlights and extensions.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: it's more around you know?

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Easy,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: most of [00:05:00] that's buying hair that's, nice hair. You know, it's like you don't want I Barbie doll hair.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: correct?

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: they're not using that. So,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: No, they're using real hair,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: know? But. And I'm sitting here and one of the other girls at the salon is actually there and she does extensions. And she wasn't saying a word because that's how much she charges as well too. She's got clients that come in and they drop like, you know, you know, $6,000,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: this isn't Seattle and she's complaining about four grand in California.

And I'm like, uh, that would be average to me. And I'm thinking, this is just for the extensions. This girl went through and broke it down, and it was for the extensions, it was for the color. She had a highlight done. She had a root shadow done. She had, I mean, it was like a haircut.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: She had everything done

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Everything done,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: and. She didn't ask like how much it would be or, or

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: that's the thing. Oh, no, no, no.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: she

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: She had to put a deposit down. [00:06:00] She had to put a deposit down of $3,000. See if you put a deposit down of $3,000, how much? And that was just the deposit. So that means the price is gonna go up. And it only went up by another $1,200. It ended up being 4,200 bucks. That's it. You know?

And everyone's like, oh my God, can you believe it? And I'm like, yeah, that sounds like about average to me. I mean, it actually almost sounds like, and especially in LA on the low end personally. 'cause then I see the picture of this girl and it looks fucking great. So it's really good. And not only,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: it too, I think, right?

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: oh she did because she actually posted a video saying Style my $4,000 hair with me. Now, here's the thing. If you are actually serious about this rant, you wouldn't be posting videos saying like, Hey, style my hair with me that I spent four grand on and bragging [00:07:00] about it. You know, if you're 19 years old and you got four grand, a 4,200 bucks a blow on on some hair,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: guess what?

I bet what it was is that she put it on her boyfriend, her boyfriend's credit card.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: of money when I

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: No.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: 19. Are you kidding?

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: I bet she put it on her dad's credit card or her like parents' credit card or boyfriend, you know, and they got mad at her for doing that. And so what does she think? Maybe I can get my money back if I get on TikTok and bitch about it.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: But it wasn't just that though, she said that she, and this is where everyone kind of like goes through and, and gets like pretty butt hurt about it. It's that she tells everyone that the girl Chrissy only spent 60 seconds on her hair and that's it. And I'm like, hang on a second. 60 seconds.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: He didn't have her haircut in?

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: had a haircut. She had a haircut, she had the extensions put in. So here's the thing,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: haircut.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: right? That's how long it takes to comb the hair, you know what I mean? To get like some of the [00:08:00] tingles out or whatnot. I mean, it's like really?

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: is exaggerating about

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Oh, not if you watch her TikTok. She's like, oh, this is the God's honest truth, you know? And I'm like, hang, hang on. But it says on the website, because. Obviously she doesn't, she can't read. She must be illiterate or her comprehension level is just not there because she didn't read the website where it says that not only does Chrissy do your hair, but also her assistants help out.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Mm-hmm.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: You wanna what? When someone's that busy usually have a team of people working on you. You know, and I'm, so when I have people helping me with my clients, they feel really fucking special. Especially when you have like more than just one person doing your hair,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: it's

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: especially when it looks that fucking good, you know?

But she's like, I thought I was paying for just her. Really? Then how come you didn't ask? She's mentioned on the TikTok that she's been texting back and forth with this assistant. She didn't ask, am I really gonna be getting this [00:09:00] person the entire time? What is this the service consist of? She had all the opportunity to go through and ask these questions, yet she didn't, and that's the whole point,

now it's, it was like, I'm talking like haircut, extensions, color toner. In fact, she even said that she was actually watching over the toner. Chrissy was,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: it's like,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Well, she's

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: so we're missing some bits.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: that's what you do.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: We're missing some bits here though.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: out a lot, I think. And, had me listen to this video and, you say that she's 19. he was like 12 years old. That's how young she sounds.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah, she.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: And, and so 19. Okay. he obviously doesn't know how life works She doesn't know anything and she's acting like people are her over except she. him money. She made

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: she hit, uh, the deposit.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: exactly. So she knew ahead of time.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Well, should have known ahead of time, like

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Well, no [00:10:00] one pays $3,000 deposit. Yeah,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: throwing money out to whoever asks, like, I want this, oh, here's my card number, or daddy's number.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: whoever. Whoever she used. Exactly. You know? But she was like, oh, I brought my own extensions in. And so was kinda like, uh, yeah, but that doesn't always work. But who knows how old those extensions were. Or if they've already been used once,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Wait.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: she said she was.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: did, or,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Oh yeah, she brought her own. They said we can't use it

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: because imagine that.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: you already use 'em and that's not how they work. So.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Exactly. You know, and they could have been old. We don't know. There, there's a lot of things that were, that are missing in this story, but she said that she was bullied into getting extensions. And also she was bullying a buying. Yeah, she was bullied

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: bullied,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: ' cause she brought her own and they didn't want to use it.

And it's like, well we don't know the condition of those extensions, number one. Number two, you have the right to say no. You have the [00:11:00] right to say no, I don't want to do this. And I would like my deposit back 'cause I don't agree with you.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: See, is where, uh, life experience is lacking. You know, like he doesn't know this,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: I guess not.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: things, I guess. I don't know. I.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: No. But then also what what also got me though is in the video, she was saying that they gave her product to purchase at the end, and she didn't know that she was buying the product until she looked the bill afterwards. They, she just thought it was like. I got it for free.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: What,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: she got like a shampoo, a treatment oil or something like that.

And she was like, I thought it was free with the hair. 'cause the hair costs so much. And I'm like,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: why? W

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: what business just gives you full size shampoos and conditioners for free?

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Maybe it, should be. But she just assumed

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: ask. Once again, you know, it's like she doesn't know how it works. She is that they. Charge her. so does she, put [00:12:00] that at like a rest run or something when

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: eats and has dessert and they hand her a bill and she's like, what, what's this?

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: a bill.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: A bill? And I, my, Remy's house and she makes me food. She doesn't charge me, she didn't like extra charges,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: No, but she took it with her though. That's the thing she didn't ask. She said like, I was so intimidated because they were doing tiktoks around me and there was like 10 people pulling my hair at the same time, and then it was just so overwhelming. In the meantime, she looks fucking gorgeous and got her photo taken,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: and then when she's walking out with a bag full of fucking product and went to go pay the bills, she didn't say like, Hey, can you tell me what I'm paying for?

what she did? It was that she did, she went home, looked at the itemized bill, and then shit, her pants. It wasn't that, I bet it was the phone call that she got from mom [00:13:00] saying, what the fuck did you spend $4,200 on?

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: what it, then she lived the bill.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Because like fucking Wells Fargo was calling her to, if it was like a fraudulent

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: or something, you know, it's like you go to, Chrissy to get your hair done at, at this Hal salon for $4,000. No,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: but I know who did.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Exactly.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah. Um.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: But that's the thing you need to go through and make sure that when you're getting a bill, or you're being handed stuff that you ask a question or two, maybe you had no problems going through and paying the $3,000 deposit. That wasn't a problem, But to get on TikTok and start bashing this girl, what the fuck is your problem? All because you probably got, you got butt hers. But not only that, you love to go through and show off what your $4,000 hair was as well though, too.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: it, started off her how much she loved her [00:14:00] hair and then she was like, slowly got like worse and worse. Is that what happened?

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: And not just that. Then she started getting on. She started by talking about all the hateful comments that were coming out, right? And she was getting support for certain people. I did see that. But then she also was getting some hate from other people as well though too. And so she got on. TikTok and was just kinda like, Hey guys, let's stop with the hate.

Let's stop with like bashing people. That's not what I get on here for. I wanna support women. And I mean, do you really, bitch? Really?

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Uh,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: mean, I, but I wanna support,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: what that means really.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: she has no idea,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: but she's like, I wanna support people and I want to be positive and this and that. And then the very next post is her bashing this girl Chrissy again, and giving her the bird on TikTok.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Oh.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: And being like, fuck you, fuck this. And the 'cause she realized, see, she's marketing herself now and she realize that all the [00:15:00] negative shit actually worked and she gets more likes on the negative shit,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: We

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: and so she doesn't wanna leave it alone.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: So she showed us her, um. Moods. You know, it's like she was in shock, you know, obviously. Um, she loved her hair. She got exactly what she wanted and that's what these people do.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: but you have to pay for it.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: but not only that, as you're watching the Post, I went through her posts though seriously, as I'm like, I'm walking my dogs and I'm watching the posts, and literally it was like multiple personality disorder or something was going on. It was so fucking, I'm watching this, and you're like, oh, something's not right.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: all of them.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: All of it.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: She,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: of it.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: which one caught most likes, like, which

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Oh, where she's like manic.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Where she's like, when she's like tearing into Chrissy or something like that, that's the one that would, when she gets [00:16:00] nuts, that's the one that got the most likes. But when you look at the top three posts, it's all about Chrissy. You know what I mean? It's like the first one, the one the the ones that are pinned.

It's like there's one on there that's like, you know, do my hair. That cost me $4,000 with me. Then it's like, I hate Chrissy, and here's my bill, and this is like the second one about me bitching about this girl. Then there's another one, the third one. So I didn't wanna post this because of all the hate that's out there.

I'm like, bitch, you pinned it. You pinned it, you didn't wanna do it, but you wanna make sure that everyone fucking sees it and is front and center, don't you?

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: maybe it gets more likes. You know, so a message was he hates all the hate.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Exactly, but loves all the likes

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: sure.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: 'cause all the likes come with all the hate. One of 'em that got me though was when she started talking about suing her. Because Chrissy, or from Habit Salon, have been using her image on their social [00:17:00] media and she's like, people are coming through and saying like, Hey, you should sue them for doing that.

They can't use your public image and they can't be using your social media, this and that. And it's like, whoa.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: signed off on that, I think,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: You signed off on it. But not only that though, you forgot to hit the little button that says, don't remix my videos, or don't use for the sequence. You didn't tick that off. So if you didn't click that button, guess what?

They can use it because you signed off on it there.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: You know? So don't go through and say like, oh, I'm gonna sue for like, not only that, what lawyer's gonna pick that up and for How much money do you want? No lawyer's gonna pick it up. Personal. I don't think so, but. The thing of it though is that you and I kind of started looking at the salons and there's like two in Arizona, one in Costa Mesa, and I started looking at the Yelp reviews and they were way down to point, I think it was like one and a half stars.

when you go through and you read. BA reviews [00:18:00] as people who have never been there trying to give a warning not to go to the salon. So this girl is waging a war campaign against the salon. Now

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: that's what it is. it's, uh, she wants a boycott because

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: something.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: experience. I don't know what she wants or she started that anyway.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Well, when, when you start having, whether you realize it or not, it's doing exactly, it's actually impacting their, uh, reviews, which is not a cool thing when you look at their Google reviews. Google hasn't. That's why back then when we were talking about in that last episode about TikTok is the new Yelp.

We disliked Yelp, but we did Didn't mind Google because on Google they have 4.8 reviews for the Habit Salon on Yelp, it's 1.5 stars.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah, I guess, um, well, does that mean then? that Yelp has allowed

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: will leave false reviews.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: to go and then just [00:19:00] not allowing it,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Probably, I don't know exactly how that works, but it seems like Google's not allowing it to happen. Here's the thing though.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: why

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: You want, you wanna,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Trust them even more. You know, it's like Yelp is dead,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: you're garbage. You're garbage.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: to die, so,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: But, but here's the thing though. This little girl's talking about suing this woman, this woman should actually go through and talk to a lawyer about suing her for defamation.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Exactly.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: if you ask me,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: that. um,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: you, you bitched about for paying $4,000, which obviously you could afford 'cause you paid it and you didn't say that you couldn't afford it.

There's no mention of that at all. But now you're affecting not only this woman's livelihood, but all the people that work for her in three different salons. That is not their problem. That shouldn't be their problem. They shouldn't have be worrying about things like this. They should just be going through and learning and working and making money.

Just [00:20:00] because you wanna bitch about the $4,000 doesn't mean that you, you know. These other girls should be affected by it. And you're basically allowing that to happen. By not saying something on your social media, you're basically allowing it to happen. 'cause they have a full on war going out now because they even have merch.

This little girl has merch. They both have merch. The girl, Chrissy has t-shirts now saying, this is what, four thou? Yeah, this is what $4,000 hair looks like. So it says hair and 4K, or, you know.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: that's a little

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Maybe,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Uh, but whatever.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: whatever, but the other girl,

exactly.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: the shirt though.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: People are buying it,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: the other girl who's bitching about it, she has her own line of merch bashing it.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: What? Wait a second. Wait. He

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: merchandise bashing somebody who

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Wait. Exactly. So now she has merchandise. We should, we, we gotta come out our own merchandise.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: game?

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: We gotta come out our own merch. Jack, if you [00:21:00] guys think we should come out our own merch, let us know. Let us know in the comments, but uh, I know

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Uh, maybe

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: should be

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: have,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Fake dog poop. Send to your house

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: maybe we should have her say, I hate shit. I told my hairdresser.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: exactly.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Maybe it'll,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Another. The other thing is that all these hairdressers have gone on the bandwagon and they're all on TikTok and Instagram bashing the salon and bashing Chrissy, which I think is bullshit because whenever you go onto the social media, you always have these people going, charge your worth, make sure you're charging your worth.

Well, here's a girl who has not only one, but three salons. Three salons, and she's built a business and she has built a brand where she can charge this much money inside the salon. And the salon is packed. It's absolutely packed with people, and all these hairdressers are bashing it. The ones that are saying Charge your worth are going like, ah, look at you.[00:22:00]

You're overcharging people. Fuck you. Are you serious?

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: would they even So listen, the ones who are that, uh, so like hairdressers who this and oh, they're charging way. much, they should make that illegal, blah, blah, blah. Um, they're obviously just jealous, you know? It's like they know

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: their work is not worth

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Exactly. There it is. That's what it is.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: And,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: You're going like,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: they would be ripping someone off, they.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: fathom that there's someone out there who is really good and, um, who can hit what, how many salons does she have?

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Three. Three.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: That's good. You know,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: and, and she has a whole team at each of those that, um, help her out. Taught them how he wants everything done, and people love what they do. That's amazing.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah. So the people who out there, they're [00:23:00] preaching, charge what you're worth, are angry 'cause they're not worth as much as she is. She's charging what she's worth and she's up here, you're worth. So she's like bringing in like four grand as an average. She probably brings in more money if she's the one doing your hair.

So it's probably more, I would say even double that. Maybe six to 8,000 maybe. Right.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: for fucking her. I think that's amazing. You know what I mean? Don't get pissed off 'cause she's worth six to eight and you're worth $200. Don't get mad about that. Do something about it.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: 200. Geez. It's like $50 for what they

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Right? Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: he's hairdressers, they don't think that that's it, except just really worthless.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: That's all that. Yeah, that's what it's, they're, they're, they're, they're angry about that. I actually had a girl, I met a girl one time and I can't remember where I was at. It was like some little bar having a beer. And the bartender was like, oh, by the way, this girl's a hairdresser too. And we just started talking and he goes, [00:24:00] yeah, Jason charges like, you know, a hundred something dollars for a haircut.

And she goes, what? And I go, I'm like, oh, I didn't, you know, didn't, I don't know if I, that should become, I didn't wanna brag about that or something like that. I just came up, the bartender told her that

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Hmm.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: and she goes, oh my God, how could you gouge people? And I looked at her and she goes, I would never gouge anyone.

I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow your role.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: don't, I don't, they don't even fathom that somebody has maybe more experience or that they're better.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah, God forbid.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: way more. Beyond, uh, a normal, you know? Um

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: she was shocked that I charged guys the exact same price I charge women and I go, uh, my guys come in every three weeks. 'cause these are people who were like, you know. Talking in front of massive groups of people, or on television or in a movie, they pay this much money so their hair looks exactly the same.

They're there every three fucking weeks, you know, and they're paying me for something that, a service that someone else can't [00:25:00] do. Obviously

am.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: they wanna do it.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yes, and they happily pay me for it.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: saying like, Hey, not gonna, pay mortgage this month. I gotta get my hair cut. He's, he couches me every time.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah, exactly.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: that.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: I can't feed my kids 'cause of my haircut.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: No, I gotta get my hair cut,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: man.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Johnny. You're not eating today.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: out though. Out the ass.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah, no.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Um,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: hairdressers. embrace this is what you need to do if someone's charging for charge two, 2000. You know what I mean? Get your net worth. Be or get your worth higher up so that we can charge that much.

  1. Your education, you have to, like she did.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: go outta your way like he did and them way more. These are ones who like in the back room doing nothing.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Exactly.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: That's

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: And these people are using all their tools to go through and get to the next level. They're putting their stuff on Instagram, they're putting their [00:26:00] stuff on TikTok, they're making their work better. They're training other people. She's training these other girls to go through and have a career.

What the fuck are you doing? What did you do this past year to help someone else? this girl is training people. She's going through and showing them how to build a business. She's helping other women stop the, like, you know, the female on female violence girls. Come on, let's knock this off. Every time I go through.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: The violence.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: You know, 'cause every time I look, I'm like looking at some of these posts and it's always another female bitching, like, oh, this looked terrible what she did, and I would never, you're gouging them and you're, you know, going through and making our industry worse. No, she's not. Christie's making our industry better, you know, and so let her charge this much.

So that way you are, you're considered a deal and you can make double what you're [00:27:00] making, maybe learn from what she's doing, watch it, copy it. You know, this. Complaining is not helping. You're hurt. That's what's hurting the industry. And that's what allow customers to go through and say like, see, I knew it.

These hairdressers are charging way too much money. In the meantime, my dentist can charge me 10,000 fucking dollars. You know what I mean? For whatever they fucking want for my teeth. 'cause I never hear people getting on TikTok and bitching about that.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: I,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: the way.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: you're right about that. I mean, it's really the only industry that.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah,

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: think that they're charging too much and shouldn't.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: correct.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: it's like,

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: It's a fucking luxury. It's a fucking luxury. You know what I mean? You don't have to go to the dentist, fucking get a pair of pliers and pull 'em out yourself.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: if, here's a, dentist who charges a lot of money, don't go.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: But someone really likes his work and it's really, really good. Okay, go. But it's a lot of [00:28:00] money, don't go Which is it? So

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Here's one thing that is a necessity. Here's one thing that is a, food is a necessity. Everyone needs it. Everyone needs food. That doesn't mean you get to go to a restaurant and spend 7,000 to $10,000 on dinner. We've been to those dinners before you and I, you know what I mean? And let me tell you that you go to some of these restaurants and they are fucking expensive.

You wanna what? Go to Food for Less or whatever. It's go to the grocery. Yeah, they're really good. But

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Yeah.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: go the, but is that a necessity to eat at those restaurants when you actually go to the grocery store and get something for way less than that?

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: have gone to Taco Bell.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Exactly. so you wanna What? Extensions not a necessity. It's a luxury. Getting your haircut. It's a luxury. It's like, do I, do you need to go to Nobu? No, you don't have to go eat at Nobu. You can just simply go to Whole [00:29:00] Foods and get good food at a way better price. I mean, the sushi's definitely not gonna be the same.

That's for fucking sure. But.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: go. You could go to the wherever Monica Pier and catch your own and make your own sushi if you wanted to. It's not the same. It doesn't taste the

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: It

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: not

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: definitely will not be no shit. Right. I caught a fish and an oil can and I got the fish was covered in needles.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: and, and it's wearing a flip flop.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Exactly.

But this is the thing guys. Knock it off. To tell you the truth, what I think this girl did, I think it was. Just to go through and f she found, she caught on the algorithm. It worked out for her. Um, I don't wanna even say her name 'cause I don't want people, if you did follow her, knock it off. Stop following her.

'cause this is, this is not [00:30:00] right. It's not good. It's not good for the industry. It's not good for other people that work for her. And let's just stop the female on female violence. Let's stop the violence. Stop the hate. Yeah.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: Stop the hate Jason.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: But if you wanna come talk some shit, come sit next to me and Jack, let's talk some shit.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Shit. Ology, TikTok version.

jack_1_11-18-2025_135218: We all know about hairstylists who charge ridiculous amounts of money, and you made a TikTok about it. How about the overpriced pumpkin spice latte you just ordered? When everyone knows it's not even made of real pumpkins, why don't you make a TikTok about that tour Dash is late, and the dudes didn't even offer to come in and set up the table.

Make a TikTok about that shit too. Your Uber driver laughs at you in a language you don't even understand. TikTok, that [00:31:00] motherfucker, a guy you just started dating, who you sent in to your hairstylist and is now hooking up with that hairstylist.

jason-_1_11-18-2025_125218: Oh fuck, TikTok. You need to make a 30 minute YouTube about that travesty.

And with that, stay shitty and see you next time.

[00:32:00]
