Ever had a haircut so bad you swore you’d never go back? Now imagine walking into a different salon, sitting down in the chair, and realizing the stylist standing over you looks exactly like the one who butchered your hair months earlier. That’s the nightmare one client lived through — and the shocking twist? It wasn’t the same stylist. It was her identical twin.
Welcome to another jaw-dropping episode of Shit I Told My Hairdresser, where real stylists Jason & Jack spill the funniest, wildest, and most unbelievable salon confessions, outrageous client encounters, and beauty industry gossip.
The Twin Hairdresser Mix-Up
In this true salon story, a client booked what she thought was a normal corrective haircut. But from the moment she sat down, she felt uneasy — the stylist looked suspiciously like the one who had ruined her hair before.
After a round of awkward questions (“How long have you been here?” … “Do you go by another name?”), the shocking truth surfaced: the woman had walked into the salon of the original stylist’s twin sister.
From there, the story spiraled into family feuds, stolen salon identities, gossip about business betrayals, and lies that sounded like something out of a soap opera.
Why Salon Drama Hits Different
Stories like this hit home because anyone who’s ever sat in a stylist’s chair knows the mix of trust, vulnerability, and hope involved in a haircut. But when family drama, narcissism, and outrageous lies enter the mix, the salon becomes more than a beauty stop — it becomes the stage for real-life comedy and chaos.
At Shit I Told My Hairdresser, Jason & Jack use their decades of industry experience to cut through the BS, call out toxic salon behavior, and share the kinds of funny podcast-worthy stories that make listeners feel like they’re eavesdropping in the breakroom.

Jason. Hey, what's happening? You ready to start the show? I'm not Jason, dude, it's me, Jack. I don't know. You we're neighbors. Your wife brings me Christmas cookies every year. You got the wrong guy.
Yeah, you're right. Glad I don't know you.
Hello,
Is that your real voice?
today it is. Why not.
Yeah. Okay.
Welcome back to the episode guys of, [00:01:00] uh, Jack and I talking some more shit to you guys and, uh, speaking of some weird shit, uh, I'm, I'm gonna start off today with, uh, well. I listen to the news and, and I, I usually don't like talking about that because, uh, I don't know. I try not to listen to too much news 'cause it's all just bad, it seems like now.
But, uh, and I, I like to be happy and just talk shit with you and that's what I do on Tuesday. What today? Tuesday we record on Tuesdays and we release on Sundays. And, and one of the things that I noticed this morning as, um, I was driving to work or driving master. Back from dropping my son off at school was, I was listening about the new Epstein estate files that
Yeah.
were dropped yesterday, and, uh, they were kind of covering some of 'em and I'm like, oh, I'll listen.
You know, because we,
a lot of
we just did an episode right.
They left a lot out. You know, they're [00:02:00] releasing things. They've already. Released and then names, uh, that I don't mind roaring under the bus and there's a lot of left out.
Well, and one of the things that we talked about not too long ago, I think it was last month, was the president. We had an episode called the President of Epstein Island, and it was about Bill Clinton, and of course his name again is all over this, you know what I mean? They're saying like, he's been in the island 28 times and it just tracks, you know what I mean?
We're kind of like listening to, you know what I, what I heard from my client. From other clients about him. It just, it makes sense. You know what I mean? That more than likely he was probably there. I don't know, but I've heard 28 times, you know, but it's just,
Yeah.
it's so relevant now. The stuff that we used to do back then, you know that it's now coming out.
Now here we are talking about it, but there was another name that came up [00:03:00] this morning and you wanna, what? You would've missed it listening to it. But they were talking about the salton of, and they, his name came up. Right.
where do we know his name from?
We talked about it on that episode of the LAPD will shoot you
Oh,
worked with a girl, Jill Exactly. Who was in his harem.
his harem. Oh,
Yeah.
That's right. She
Correct.
She's a hairdresser. She,
Author.
outta one of the guys in Weezer.
Yeah. And she got shot by the.
shot. Why the LAPD survived? So, wait, she must have been an Epstein girl.
I don't know. I don't know. I'm not, I don't wanna out anybody or haven't read the book yet. We don't know anything
gotta read her book. I gotta get her book.
but I'm, I'm sitting here and I [00:04:00] heard that they, he was mentioned assaulted of bene that he was friends with Epstein and I'm starting to put two and two together and I'm like, holy shit.
Hang on a second.
Yeah.
girl we just talked about, Jillian. And so I went back and I'm looking and she was in his harem from 92 to 95 and I go, oh dude, this is getting a little closer than I, you know, 'cause she wrote that book about it. What was it called? Some girls, uh, my Life in a Harem.
Right. to 95, he would've been, he would've been about 18 years old at the most. Um,
So, yeah, exactly.
Right.
Now we, it seems like you and I are getting a little six degrees of Kevin Bacon on some shit here now. You know what I mean? This is getting a little
Is he on the list too?
No thank, no he's not.
okay.
you've heard that, right? Where it's just like you track all the celebrity, so,
that movie,
correct. You know, so. It's getting to the [00:05:00] point to where I'm like, holy shit, we might have known a lot of people who now is coming out.
All this shit is finally coming out. It just happened to take 20 fucking years.
it's kind of a amazing that you hear something was happening like right under your nose. You didn't really know.
Yeah, no idea.
No, no hint, nothing. and then now we're hearing about something that, geez, I mean, how many years ago is that?
Yeah, over a little over 20.
But it happened to her something years ago, you know? So
it's just crazy. It's absolutely crazy.
nuts.
Anyhow, if you haven't listened to it, go back and listen too. Uh, the LAPD will shoot you that episode, and that's about Jillian. Uh, man, that girl, I tell you, what a life, you know what I mean?
I, I
do you, she, you gotta position yourself for shit like this. This doesn't happen on accident, you know?
It's like you have to be that type of person Who, who put yourself in that direct line of,
Yeah.
no pun [00:06:00] intended. I know the lap shot her
um. Well, he
pun.
too. Yeah. If, if, if, if, if you watch the video,
Yeah.
she did put herself in the line of fire. Um, he's had a life, you know. Um, she must have been that out, you know, the drama. She wants it, she craves it. I guess I doubt she wanted anything To happen.
It's just,
You wanna what though? If you're going through and you're pushing those limits, as far as you know, if you do like how she has done, you know something's gonna, something will happen.
yeah, yeah.
Don't be like, oh, I can't believe that happened to me. You put yourself there.
Now I
You know,
book.
we have to.
Absolutely.
some
girls.
Girls
Mm-hmm.
My Life in a Harem.
There you go. Little plug for you.
There. There you go.
So anyhow, guys, uh, go back and take a listen to some of those old, uh, episodes. Old, [00:07:00] just actually we did not too long ago. Uh, president of Epstein Island. And, uh, go through and subscribe wherever you go through and get your podcast. Tell your friends about us.
We are growing and wanna thank you guys for helping us grow. Um, look us up on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram. Have a little laugh with us and also tell us your stories. Go to our website at Shit I told my hairdresser.com and tell us one of your stories of being six degrees of Kevin Bacon, something we might hear in the near future on the news.
Anyhow, um, having said that,
Hmm.
don't we get into, uh, our story. Well, I had a girl that I work with come in, confide in me in a story that happened to her, uh, not that long ago, I wanna say about maybe like two months ago. And
Yeah.
she, uh, she and I have worked together at the salon now, salon's been open four years, a little over four years now.
And we've been there since the beginning, since the salon has opened. And, uh, we, we've had a good time there. She like, I like [00:08:00] it there. She likes it there. And, uh, she was telling me that she had this client come in the other day, uh, she was referred over by one of her really good clients. And her client called her up and said, Hey, I have a friend of mine.
You got a really bad haircut and I need you to help fix her hair. And she's like, okay, no problem. You know, let's get her an appointment. So the day comes that she has her appointment and she walks over and let's say this woman's name's Susan. And she walks over to Susan and she goes, hi, my name is Olga.
Nice to meet you. And the woman was like, Uhhuh, like deer cotton headlights. Like, she's like, who? Okay. Like what are you doing here? She was like, I am gonna cut your hair like you're Susan, right? And she goes, yes.
Oh, oh,
She goes,
so
yeah. The woman, she understands yes,
Okay.
but doesn't know what's going on, and she doesn't know the Olga, my friend doesn't know what's going on.
She was like, what the fuck is happening here? So,
name like that. [00:09:00] You know, I assumed, I don't know.
so shields, why don't we, uh, let's get, let's get you into a robe. She's like, huh? She's like, come, come over. Let's get you into a robe and then we'll go and consult about your hair.
Hmm.
She's like, okay. And it's like, like, like you're taking like a five-year-old through New Steps, you know what I mean? It's like, this is what I do with my son who's five and I wanna try something new.
You know? I mean, taking step by step. So that's what's happening. She.
Sounds like she's never done this
Well, I don't know if she, I mean, is she like in shock because you know, hey, she's in a hair salon. She's got her hair fucked up somewhere else, and now it's just like some PTSD going on, or who knows what
weird anyway.
fucking weird.
Okay.
So she gets her over to her chair and they, she's like, we start consulting, and I'm talking to her and she's like, yeah, this is not a great haircut.
We'll figure it out. So they, they go through the consultation, they make a plan for her hair, and the woman agrees with everything. She goes, great, let's get you shampooed. And so the, she takes her [00:10:00] back here shampooed. And she's like, now this woman's asking her a ton of questions. Like, how long have you been here?
How long have you lived in the area? You know, like, just really like, it. It's, it almost sounds like a first date. You know what I mean? Kind of a thing, you know, it's like's like trying to get to know the person. Or exactly,
Yeah.
because it was like the line of questions she had, she was like, Jason was like, I was on a first date or something.
Like, you know, so do you wanna have kids? You know what I mean? Like, and so they're, they, they get back after they get Jen Shampooing and she's like, you know, cutting her hair. And she said within like the next 10 minutes, all of a sudden, whatever wall she had up, you know, when I first met her, they're down now.
She's like, and we're laughing and we're talking and I'm talking about her hair really explaining what I'm doing to make sure I gained her confidence 'cause something was going on and I just wanted to make sure that I didn't do anything that was gonna go through and [00:11:00] get her upset again or screw things up.
So I was overexplaining and the woman was just kinda like, it became very nice and now we're laughing and we're having a good time. And she was like, we're halfway through the haircut Then she says, Hey, you know, 10 minutes before we're done with the haircut, can you let me know? She's like, sure, no problem.
I can let you know. She was like, are you gonna call if you need to call somebody, you to meet somebody, or something like that? And she goes, yeah. It was like she, the way she said was really weird, and so she didn't,
a weird woman.
she didn't think anything of it. Didn't think anything of it. She was like, you know, we're, we're getting along.
Everything seems to be working out just fine. So I'm kind of just rolling with it and 10 minutes before the haircut is over, she goes, Hey, if you need to call your friend or send 'em a text message, or whoever's picking you up, let 'em know. Now we're about 10 minutes out from finishing your haircut. And she goes, actually, I need to talk to you.
And she looked at her and I was like, [00:12:00] about what? And so the woman starts to go through and explain to her where she got her previous haircut. Where it got screwed up at and how, you know, and I'm like, okay. And she goes, this woman is explaining this place to me. The location, what it looked like, didn't say the name was just kind of going through and saying the area that was in.
And she goes, oh my God. She goes, then it dawned on me, my twin sister did her hair. I'm like, oh shit. Now it makes sense how this woman is like.
who's a hairdresser too.
Identical twin dude.
She works somewhere else and
Yes.
okay,
Yeah,
it makes sense.
correct.
she went, she's looking at her the whole time thinking this is a crazy person. You know?
right. Well, no. You know what she thought? She actually told her. She was like, holy shit, the person who fucked up [00:13:00] my hair is here and you're gonna fuck it up again.
yeah.
But she realized like, okay, they, they do look different. Like something was not the same. And so that's why she went into line of questioning about like, how long have you been here?
You know, like this whole like, you know, interrogation,
maybe I tentacle. Um, but always look a little different, you know? And, and maybe
was different, something was different.
Uh, hot one or something. Is that what?
Yeah, she is. She's really good looking. Yeah, she really is. So I have never met her twin, so I don't know.
the other one's, like the one that's heavy and
Well, they look alike, you know what I mean? They have obviously 'cause it scared the shit outta her,
yeah,
And obviously it scared the shit out. So they had to look someone alike. But I, I probably so, you know, but, um, but she was saying that she was like, I, I, I walk in and the person who fucks up my hair is right in front of me.
And she was like, did they, so did they, did you quit somewhere [00:14:00] else and came over here? You know, she said, but my best friend has been coming to you for years and she's the one who referred me to you.
you go by like a different name. You
names.
thought that like she was like an. Totally insane,
Yeah,
but he didn't run out of there. You know? She
she didn't. Just super confused. And she was like, do you imagine my shock when I come walking in? I'm like, oh my. I would've been shocked too, because at my son's Montessori, the woman who runs a place has an identical and twin sister. And I go walking in one day and she was covering for her, and she goes, and so what's your name?
And I go, uh, miss Corina, it's me, Jason, I cut your hair. How do you not know who I am? And she goes, oh, I'm not Miss Corina. That's my twin sister. Dude, it fucked me up.
Yeah.
It, oh my God. It meant, I was like, but, and then I'm like sitting here going like, I was freaked out. So now I can only [00:15:00] imagine what this client went through.
Here she is now that she have like PTSD from having a shitty haircut somewhere else, but then the same person, she thinks that just fucked her up, is now here at that shop.
Right, and so must not like talk or anything.
I don't, no, they really don't. You know, they don't talk at all. You know, I, I guess they had some weird thing happen, you know, I'm not quite sure exactly, but, well, actually I kind of do know, 'cause we're gonna get into that in a second because, um, you know, she was like saying like, you know, I knew that you were not the same person, especially like a few minutes into it because you're so happy.
And she was like, and it was like being with a completely different person. You know, it's like you knew what you were doing, you know, you were explaining everything to me. Um, you're a very positive person and very happy. And that's when we started laughing and I realized like, you are not the same person.
There had to been like a twin or something. That's why I was asking you [00:16:00] all these questions. And I figured it out that there was a twin because you had been here for way too long. Because I was just at this other shop three months ago.
it out
Correct,
without asking her.
exactly. And that's why she was going through the third degree with her, you know, to make sure it wasn't the same person.
And she realized this is not the same person. So, but I didn't know if you had a relationship with your twin, so that's why I wanted to wait until the end. So she's very smart, very calculated.
yeah, yeah,
Wait till the end of the get my good haircut and then drop the bomb hunter.
Well,
So I was like, ah, smart, okay, cool, okay. I'm like very smart, you know? And so they started talking. She's like, oh my God, I can't believe you. Uh, yeah, I, I can't believe you went to my twin, you know? And that's so weird. She was like, but I got you now. I mean, you're, she likes the haircut. Everything is good.
And then she looks at her and she goes, oh, oh my [00:17:00] God. You are the partner. She goes, what? And she goes, you used to own part of the salon with your sister. And she goes, yeah, I did. And she was like, you know what? I said, I don't talk about it. She's all because no one wants to hear bad news or bad stories, like ugly stories about your family or somebody that no one wants to hear all that.
She goes, so I really don't mention it because to tell you the truth, it's like people come in here to feel good and have a good experience and have their hair done well. If they don't come in to hear like, my shit life story, you know what I mean? About some of the things that happened to me with like, you know, my, my twin, they, they just want, they wanna hear about my sister.
Right.
I
No one wants that.
positivity, not just like
Exactly.
you know?
You know? And then she was like, wait a minute, what are you talking about? And she was, yeah. Well, um. Your twin told me, your sister told me that, um, they used to have a partner in this business, in their [00:18:00] business and that they left them high and dry and no one will work for them because of the partner, because they tainted the whole name of the business and that no one will work there anymore.
And she's like, wait, what? She's like, I haven't been there in nearly five years. Like, what do you what?
going on and on.
Right. And it was just like, you know, um. she kept on saying about her partner stole all this money from her, and she was like, She goes, you're, you're joking. She goes, no, like stole money.
And she's like, no. And then she, she was like, it was every time I went in, I went a few times 'cause they were like just doing my color at first, trying to fix my color. But then when they gave me the haircut, I was like, I gotta get the fuck outta here. She's like, but it was negativity. Every time I walked in there, this person did them wrong, and their partner took the whole staff and no one will work for them.
They tainted the place and stole all the money, and that's why she's, you know, struggling and only has like, you know, one or two people working for her and no one will work there anymore. You know, and I'm [00:19:00] like, you're, I'm like, oh God. That's just, who wants to hear that shit? Who wants to come into a business and hear, oh, poor me, I'm the victim.
But that's what they do. People like that. They, they play the victim so well.
she's happily working at a difference Ilan and has nothing to do with her at all.
Exactly. I. But then it was just kinda like all this, oh, it's all your fault. She's like, if it's been how long? Like, wait a minute. So you haven't been there in over four years. She's like, how is that your fault? You know that you know shouldn't if like you turn the business around and then you make it great again.
And it's just kinda like that's what you do. You get rid of the people who you, who, who you say weren't helping you out or stealing from you. You get rid of 'em all. Then if you did that, then things would be, should be going great. And she goes, yeah, it should, shouldn't it. So, I don't know. We don't talk anymore, so we really don't, I don't know what's happening over there.
She's like, obviously, I don't know. I've been, I'm busy over [00:20:00] here.
Sounds
And she goes, no, you are. She goes, you are busy. I could barely get into you. You know, and so she was like, yeah, so I mean, I don't know what's happening then. Then she goes, wait a minute. Oh my God, I forgot. She goes, what? She goes, you're in jail.
She goes, I am. She goes, yeah. She goes, that's when your sister told me that you were in jail. She goes, for what?
God, how desperate is this
I was like, you're in. I'm like, wait a minute, you're in jail. She goes, yeah, that's what she told me. So I was in jail. I'm like, for what? I'm like, for what? She goes. For embezzlement. I'm like, from who? And she goes, my own business. I'm like, oh my God, you've gotta be kidding me. She goes, no. She goes, have, I'm having embezzling money from myself.
She was like, I can't go to jail for that. It's my own business.
Yeah.
well, someone can sue me for that, but I, she's like, I didn't, you know, I can't go to jail and you can't, you know what I mean? Unless they have like a civil. Prison somewhere I don't know about, but I was dying.
sounds [00:21:00] horrible if doesn't know, you know?
But if you have someone who is going through and telling these lies to you, and then you're trying to, like you, you don't know the other side of the story.
All, all you know is what you're seeing in front of you. Yeah. This place is dead. Yeah. There's nobody here. Oh, that must have happened to him because that's exactly what he's, this person's telling me. So of course you're gonna believe exactly whatever that person's telling you until you meet the other side and the other side clarifies things for you.
So there's always two sides to every story. Then there's the fucking truth, isn't there?
Yeah. Wow.
know? But I was, I was like, holy shit, you know? 'cause, I mean, to tell you the truth with this girl, I had no idea she actually had a, a, a twin, her sister, you know, until she starts telling me the story. Because everyone knows I love having these stories for the podcast.
And I was sitting there blown away. Now I'm learning so much from this girl, you know, and I don't have a clue that, you know, any of her backstory or anything like that at all. 'cause we're all so busy just doing [00:22:00] hair. We're not sitting around telling stories about our family or, you know, so it was,
Yeah.
I couldn't imagine like walking in, like getting the shit scared out of you.
yeah. No, and, and. This is real obvious why she doesn't have a relationship with, uh, her sister.
No, absolutely not.
and just lies and who needs that,
You don't need that in your life, you know?
right?
But she went back and she, now she, she says she was curious, so she went to her sister's, uh, business website.
Mm-hmm.
of like look around and she was reading her bio and she goes, Jason, it's me. I go, what? And she goes, everything that she had written in her bio.
'cause this girl used to be an educator. She used to do stuff with different like hair care companies or whatnot. And her sister took her bio and took her name off of it and put her name on
The one who was lying
Uhhuh [00:23:00] exactly.
what you're saying.
Yeah, this is like sociopath shit.
yeah.
Yeah.
like stealing her identity.
Yep. Exactly.
This girl the salon, must be like a total loser and and just do it on her own.
Obviously not. You know what I mean? 'cause of course the victim blaming everyone else, including her sister who hasn't talked to her in years.
Yeah.
You know, so of course it's everyone else's fault, such a victim. Right?
So, yeah. Yeah. Geez. She,
it makes sense.
on
Yeah. She was telling me that. Correct. And it's not her at all.
and she never did any of that shit.
None of it. She says none of it. She says she's worked in a hair salon. She goes, that's about the only part that got, she got right. You know, I'm like, I was dying laughing. I'm like, oh God. But, and now she's always telling me, now it makes it made sense to her that years ago, [00:24:00] um, one of the distributors who had hired her sister.
To go through and do some work, some teaching stuff or, 'cause like back in the day when I would go out, they would, we'd call something called detailing. We'd go to other people's salons and tell 'em about the product line. And she used to do that as well though too. She used to go to people's salons and tell 'em about the product line that she worked at and like give 'em like a little spiel and why they should buy the product and the education they have.
Well, after COVID, she decided that she didn't wanna do that anymore.
Yeah.
That, you know, it's like, I wanna focus on my husband and, and my life. And, and, um, she said that one of the salespeople contacted her and was like, Hey, we hired your sister because we, you know, read her bio. And it said that, you know, she did the exact same thing that you did and since you weren't, you know, doing this anymore, or she started charging a lot of money to do it, she was like, I, if I'm gonna do this, I want to get paid.
You know, I'm not gonna go through and do it for like a cheap. You know, [00:25:00] I, I, you know, do give, gimme like a small day rate, you know, so she was like, and my day rate stayed exactly how it was like pre COVID and, and post. They didn't wanna pay that, so they thought they were getting the exact same thing, but at half the cost.
So they hired her sister and she was like, and the salesperson told her, she was like, it didn't take very long for us to realize that we did not get the same person. She goes, well, she might look like me, but it doesn't mean you're getting me. And so they had to get rid of them.
wow.
of her.
They showed up and had this, job
and didn't even know anything. They were like, oh,
Exactly. You know, she said that she went to like the first salon and had her meet the salon owner and made appointments. 'cause what we would normally do is make appointments with the owners and that way we'd have a few minutes. So that way you're not just kind of cold calling and walking in on them while they're doing a client saying like, Hey, buy my shampoo.
You know, I hate that shit.
Right.
she set it all [00:26:00] up, made me with the owners, and she goes, oh my God, your sister immediately just started pissing 'em off. Telling 'em how good that her shit was and how good the product line is. And if they don't buy from her that they're just stupid. She goes, I started cutting the meetings really short, so we did two, we had four set up in one day.
So by the time I got to the second one, I just canceled the rest of 'em and said I had an emergency, I had to go and just dropped your sister off. And I left. So I knew, 'cause I knew after that, she was like, she was gonna destroy my business with these salon owners.
Yeah.
You know, I'm like, yeah, that's exactly what happens.
So it didn't take very long. It's like a day or two with, with that person, with her, and it was like, Uhuh, we're done. You know? But I'm like looking at her going like, wait a minute. So it, I'm like, is your sister like a narcissist? She goes, oh yeah. You know, so if you think about it, she's like, she's basically taken her identity.
And, you know, blaming, victimizing herself and, you know, so I'm like, oh my God, your, your sister's a sociopathic narcissist. [00:27:00] And she goes, yep. Pretty much it. Which is a sad place to be.
Now they're just learning something that knew for years and years and no one will have anything to do with her.
Yep, exactly. Yeah.
And now it's time for shit ology. Jason, here are some reasons you may wanna abandon your current salon and never look back. Every time you walk in, all the chairs are empty and you're wondering if it's actually open today. You never hear the phone ringing, and there's never a receptionist charging you for coffee that you didn't ask for.
Keep asking if you're from Groupon. Your stylist has major halitosis and looks like they've been sleeping in the park. Keeps farting and blaming the one and only employee that's working there. Are you sure you're not from group one Keeps saying they should be charging you more and pauses for a thank [00:28:00] you, informs you on how lucky you are that they were able to squeeze you in.
'cause girl we slammed. And
with that, stay shitty and see you next time. This isn't about you. It never was and it never will be.
