Because every day there's something new, And if you work in a, in a busy shop, you know, unless you're like in a little all by yourself in one of those, you know, rental suites or something like that. And even there, you're gonna see some shit. But if you're in a busy shop, you definitely are.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: And, uh, this week. We had a reoccurring asshole come back around this week and let me, um, go through and refresh your memory. We did an episode last October and it was called Fake It to Make It, and in that episode we talked about this guy who brought in his daughters. And now if you guys can't see me, I'm doing air quotes here, doing air quotes here.

jack_7_02-03-2026_143656: Yeah. And I mentioned just because [00:03:00] uh, calls you daddy. doesn't mean they're your daughters.

I was told that I wasn't allowed to ask their names or anything, and I walk up to the front and I'm thinking like, okay, it's one of my clients that has, like, they may have referred me and they have a bodyguard and someone's bringing daughters in.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: And that's what I'm think. But I walk up there and this guy's in his thirties and these girls are in their twenties and they're barely wearing anything.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: Well, guess who came back this week?

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: Uh huh And they, they put appointments again with me to get in for blow dry again, and they actually, canceled the appointment the day of [00:04:00] a couple hours before the appointment was scheduled.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: And so the girl at the, the receptionist like walked over to me and I'm like.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: To tell me that this guy wanted to cancel the appointments, and I don't remember who this is, because the last time they were in was in September

jack_7_02-03-2026_143656: you never even mentioned. Their names. You never

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: Well, she told me, she's like my, I'm Daniella and I forget the other girl's name. You know what I mean? And

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: So, um, he wants to cancel it and he, she was like, have we have to charge you for the cancellation? And he goes, no, I'm rescheduling for tomorrow.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: And she goes, that's not how that works. So I need to talk to Jason. So during my break, she comes and she talks to me. She tells me what was going on and I don't know, I don't remember who this is at first, and she was like, yeah, it's one of your repeat clients. I'm like, from [00:05:00] when? Then I looked at the books and I'm like, this is from September and I've only done their hair once.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: And then I was like, wait a minute. I don't care who the fuck it is. We have to charge 'em. I'm also, here's the thing, don't, because she's getting ready to call them back to tell 'em that they're gonna charge 'em. I said, no, no, no, no, no. You charge 'em right now. When people find out they're being charged, they can go through and switch their credit card off.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: Right? Yep. Uhhuh. So we charged him for the blow dry, and I said, now call him back. And she goes, well, he screamed at me. And I'm like, oh, fuck no. I'm like, he starts screaming at you. You come to me and you bring me the phone.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: I'm like, I don't play that [00:06:00] shit. I don't like that you don't let the girl at the front desk go through and let her have it for doing her job. that's not cool.

jack_7_02-03-2026_143656: No, and I've had enough of, um, hearing about that

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: so I'm with a brand new client and I'm consulting with her and all of a sudden who's right at my station, the receptionist with the phone, and I'm like, okay, cool. Not a problem. I go look at my client and go, gimme one second. Let me tell you handle something really fast. And I grab the phone, I go, hi, this is Jason.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: And all of a sudden I hear this, oh hey, and it's. Big, thick, like Middle Eastern accent.

jack_7_02-03-2026_143656: Yeah.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: dawns on me exactly who it is. Now I know exactly who it is. I'm like, oh, this is the pimp with the two hookers, Uhhuh.

jack_7_02-03-2026_143656: Mm-hmm.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: I know who this is. And he's like, Hey, well, you know, Jason, uh, we had no appointments today, but we couldn't make it.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: So we have to go through and, you know, we're, we're not canceling, we're rescheduling. I said, no, that's a cancellation, that's last minute and I can't fill those spots. So you're getting charged for those spots and [00:07:00] we've already charged you.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: get two days. And so he had made the appointments and then literally rescheduled them a couple hours before.

jack_7_02-03-2026_143656: Mm-hmm.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: Right. And moved to the next day. Right. And I'm like, no, you have to pay for today to pay for those spots. He goes, oh yeah, that's fine. I have no problems with that.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: Yeah, that's fine. And I go, well, you seem to have a problem earlier. 'cause you're yelling at the girl at the front. I'm all, I don't like that shit. He's like, well, yeah, I'm sorry. You go ahead and charge me. I totally get it. You know what I mean? I'm like, okay, great. Well being charged for today.

You can have that spot or nothing at all. We can't make that. He said, do you have something more important than me? I said, yeah, actually I do.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: gonna the Super Bowl this year. Guess what? I'm taking care of some hair. So, no, I can't do it. It doesn't matter who it is, is it?

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: at this point now is more important than him.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: so now I know who it is. He has a 12 o'clock appointment. Well the girls whatever, have a 12 o'clock appointment, right? And I go, Nat, that ladies. Yeah. Um, he wants to go through and reschedule 'cause they can't make the 12 o'clock.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: And I go, well, that's the second appointment that you've made with me and I gotta charge you for that.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: What? You made another appointment, you just took that one. So now I'm not taking any shit off this guy at all. Right? Because I know exactly who he is and he's just a, I mean, he screams at people the last time he was in, one of the [00:09:00] girls yelled at him and he can't handle females like at all.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: Like having any type of like authority over him or telling him No. Oh, big time. He is just a male chauvinistic piece of shit. So I was like, I can get you in with somebody else at two o'clock. I'm all, that's it. We gotta pay for it by appointment. You had with me today the appointment that you made for the next day and for the other appointment that you're gonna have with this other person.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: And he was like, but I go, no, but I'm like, oh, well it's no appointment. And he is like, all right. So of course when it comes from a guy, then it's like, okay, I'll fucking deal with it. I'm like, you better you piece of shit. I'm like, I'm pretty sure your girls are probably making you enough money anyhow. I'm like, but you can't come inside the salon.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: I'm like, I don't want you talking to anybody here anymore. I'm like, you're not a fucking cool dude. He said, just schedule it. I go, don't, don't start with me.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: You got it. I'm like, and I'm like, I'm gonna put you back on the phone with this girl and I guarantee you, if she [00:10:00] tells me that you raised her voice at her again, we're gonna charge you for the third appointment and you are not, we're gonna cancel as well.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: Two. You got it. Alright. And I looked over at my first client and my next client that I had, and she's like, brand new. She goes, wow. She goes like in a haircut and a show. I'm like, yep. I'm like, welcome.

jack_7_02-03-2026_143656: Oh my God. Did

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: She was blown away. She was like, yeah, this guy is just like, no, I wish. But had to tell her the whole backstory and she was dying laughing, you know?

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: But, um, because the receptionist that we have now wasn't, she wasn't here, she's brand new, so she wasn't around for the first time.

jack_7_02-03-2026_143656: No, but didn't he? Um, what did he do? He was like,

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: He was vaping inside the salon, screaming on his phone at people. I mean, it was,

jack_7_02-03-2026_143656: so, like, he didn't want to be told not to vape. He just had to vape

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: yeah. And when he walked out the door, if the door has one of those bars on it.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: know how [00:11:00] they, the new glass doors have a little bar, so he open it, he opens up the door. He hid it so hard on the way out because he was mad 'cause a girl

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: So he got really mad about that. So he left. Well this time, guess who didn't come back inside the salon? He actually had his, he sat in the car waiting for his girl, his daughter right in the car. Did not step foot inside the salon?

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: I saw, I saw the, they, they, they got outta the car. He parked right in front of the salon.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: They got outta the car, walked inside, you know what I mean? They kinda gave me the sheepish little, hi Jason. And I'm like, Hey. And we are just dying laughing. And of course I'm taking like one of. One of the guys from the Seahawks, you know, and he's like, this is a really good looking guy. And of course they're looking at him the entire time, you know what I mean?

I'm like, you know, and we're just, and then I started telling him the story and we're laughing, [00:12:00] but I was like, guy, but thank God the guy stayed in the car. No drama paid for everything. He literally paid for basically three appointments, And I got the money for two of them,

I have really nice clients. 'cause if you're not nice, I don't wanna do your hair. You know what we, I've been doing hair for like 33 years now. I don't need to go through and have asshole for clients.

No one has ever, ever, when you remember, when you're in elementary school and your teacher is like, so what do you wanna be with when you grow up? I never heard anybody say, I want to be a receptionist at a hair salon. Never been a fucking thing.

That sounds kind of fun to do. That's it. You know what I mean? So these poor girls that are just doing it while they're in college or a part-time job, you don't need to go through and call up and scream at 'em.

I'm like, well, did you read the menu? Because there's a menu on the website and it tells you how much the cost of each service is. But then they always have, like, they always kind of throw in something like a little catch.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: You know? It's like, well, you know, I've had box dye on my hair and I wanna be blonde now. [00:16:00] Or, you know, my hair is like this length and how much you charge for that. And I'm like,

jack_7_02-03-2026_143656: yeah, it's, it's always something throwing it off. It's never just a straight up off of a menu thing.

jason-_7_02-03-2026_133656: You know? But. Oh, I already have blonde hair and I only need like a little bit more blonde at the top.
