That was a rough one.

[00:02:12] Yeah. And I surround all these pretty girls telling me I like this. I'll tell my wife. All right. So we have Mila and Shonda with us coming at us from Florida. And they got some stuff that we really feel that you guys need to hear because, you know, every now and again, a big company burns us, you know, and we're afraid to talk out about it. Now, we're not going to say all the names because we might need to go through and protect some of the innocent stuff. You know what I mean?

[00:02:40] Or, you know, maybe not get too many lawyers involved. But we're definitely going to go through and kind of basically tell you the story. And you fill in the gaps, guys, as you guys are listening. But this has happened to me before. I've had this happen from large companies. And it's not fucking cool because all they do is kind of string you along. And that's kind of what Mila and Shonda here are talking about. So, Mila, how are you? I'm doing okay. How are you? Doing good. So, tell us a little bit about, before we get into the story, tell me a little bit about you.

[00:03:11] We'll keep it nice and short so that people know that you are a hairdresser. You're working behind the chair. I know you're, like, trying to hurry up and get here for the podcast. You're doing clients and stuff. So, just a little intro. So, basically, I've been in the beauty industry for over 24 years. Started my first salon right out of cosmetology school. What else can I say? I've done platform work, education. I've educated for multiple companies.

[00:03:36] Long story short, my main focus is blonding, extensions, hair loss. We run our school. We run two salons. We run a hair extension company. And that's pretty much what I do. Wow. Busy. Busy. And this girl is a fucking hustler, let me tell you. And this is all right out of school. So, right out of cosmetology school, I opened my first salon. I had a Paul Mitchell educator and a Redken educator.

[00:04:02] And the Redken educator helped me open my first salon in Claremont, Florida. Almost, what, 2,500 square feet. We were a Richesse salon and Richesse and Goldwell. All right. Sean, how about you? How long are you doing hair for and where are you at? The same amount of time. I'm about 24, 25 years. I got into the business because I loved it. It wasn't work. It was something that I enjoyed and came naturally. I worked for KMS California, Goldwell, and Paul Mitchell.

[00:04:31] I attended multiple educational platforms for leadership and being able to do exactly what she's talking about where she's, you know, being able to educate and teach others about hair. And I enjoy it quite a bit. But my turning point in this business, and I say I fast forward because I was doing it but not doing it to my fullest, is about 10 years ago when I met her. So, I was in a place where I wasn't getting as much out of the business as I wanted, my environments and things.

[00:04:58] And when I met Mila, it was a big change for me. And that was a big turnaround in my life in every aspect. So, that being said, with learning so much in the last 10 years that I hadn't learned even before that has been a big change for me and an amazing road. So, I have learned so much from her, whether it be hair extensions and color and things that I just never got the fullest education out of. And I'm really proud to be a part of her and our business here.

[00:05:27] I love it when you find your tribe. That's very important. Well, I'm fine, but I got it. Florida, man. Not telling you guys the truth. I push people hard if I see something in them. Yeah. Good. Yeah. That's awesome. That feel good, Mila, or what? That feels good. It does. It does. Every person that doesn't appreciate you, they're five or six more that they want. They want that push and they want to get to the next level. Thanks for that.

[00:05:53] And her and I have had conversations where we've worked for different people with different people around the area. And, you know, it's never, it's not been a great experience, even with me, the people that I've worked for. And it was a big, it was a turning point when I met her. You know, I don't want to try to talk bad about other people when it comes to people running their business. They run it how they do. But when you bring hair incorporate in a business and you don't, it's like mixing business with pleasure. You got to have the balance. And it wasn't there no matter what.

[00:06:23] And until I met her, it was, it was definitely a game changer. All right. So I mentioned some names. Let me tell you, I know exactly what you're talking about back in California. So that's where I'm from. You know what I mean? You had some good people, but sometimes it's not the right fit and that's okay. It's an outfit. So that's great. But it's a journey. Let's get into what kind of brought you guys over to the podcast. Let's get into a little bit of tea if you guys don't mind.

[00:06:48] Mila, give me a little update on what has been going on because we started talking and I'm like, oh, I know exactly what you've been through because I've been there too. Oh, I've been there several times. I was on social media and you guys just kind of showed up on my timeline, you know? So I was just like, what the fuck? That's how you're a virus. Yeah. I'm like, what the fuck is this? And who are these people?

[00:07:13] Because they're saying everything that I want to say and the things that I used to say, but then it's like, you would just get Sean for saying them. So I've been there over the past few years, just, you know, so I'm like, if they're speaking out, then I'm going to speak out, you know? And so I tampered with it for a little while. You guys popped up again and, you know, I liked on a couple of things. You messaged me and I'm like, okay, so I guess it's time. Like, this is my sign. So that's really how it happened. Cool.

[00:07:42] I've been fired up for a while anyways, like harboring like bad feelings, which I shouldn't, you know, I should have let this go a while ago, but it's my own fault, which I say Shonda gets onto me a lot. A lot of my friends and family, it's like, okay, you're too nice. You're too nice. You're too nice. And then when you finally get mad, we have this joke, right? So somebody can do something to me like 50 times. And I'm like, oh, they didn't mean it. Like, they didn't mean it that way. It's going to be up. But then 51, it's like fucking Armageddon.

[00:08:12] Never lose it, right? But then part of it, it's my fault because if I hadn't just spoke up in the beginning and I didn't let it get to that point, then, you know, and that was something that, that I had to kind of like work on myself. So within this particular situation, I finally said, you know what? Enough. So we had this rep that worked for this really big company, right? And so as you guys know, or if you don't know, my whole business, like how everybody

[00:08:40] is saying they're blonde specialists, they're extensions. I have done this from day one of my career. And one of my clients reminded me a couple of months ago. She's like, you know, when I was looking for somebody for blondes, specifically for blondes, you're the only person that came up. Now it's like everywhere. And that's, that's the exact shit that I'm tired of in this industry. For every person that comes in here that needs to be corrected because some little girl did a root tap, bleached it out, whatever. So it's leading me up to this point, right?

[00:09:08] So I had been with Paul Mitchell using their products for so many years. Love them. Been to the classes, you name it. I just could not grow with them because the particular educator, the particular, I guess, I don't, I can't even really say that he was an educator. I guess he worked in admission or whatever for the school. They were, the more I bought in more and more and more and more, they were supposed to be giving us students. I'm growing my business. It's getting bigger.

[00:09:34] Now I need students because I have all these clients, people that are freshly graduating to put them, you know, behind the chair and build my Paul Mitchell salon. Right. It was a conflict of interest that I didn't know about. One of the administrators was friends with somebody that didn't like me for whatever reason, you know? So they would not tell students to come to our salon. Shauna had been to the school multiple times. Multiple times. They would not get back with us.

[00:10:00] Meanwhile, they were placing students in non-Paul Mitchell's salon. So you make that make sense. Little birdie on the street said this particular salon over in Winter Park, Florida, who was not a Paul Mitchell salon. That's who everybody got pushed over to. So I just wake up one day and I'm fired up. I said, I'm sick of this shit. Let's leave Paul Mitchell and let's go to Redken. I love them just as much. I started off as a Redken L'Oreal salon. So I find this cute little blonde online. She she's a Redken representative.

[00:10:30] Long story short, we meet up. Oh, she's just she's selling me all these streams. And, you know, like you're kind of a big deal. Like I've heard about you before. You're really good with color. How come you're no longer trying to educate? We have this big show that goes all over 50 states. You belong on that show. I'm going to introduce you to my my higher up. Yeah. Her higher up was the big boss of all 50 states. We talk. This is like everything's different because it's like right outside of COVID.

[00:10:58] I'm trying to speak this up as much as possible because I know we don't have a lot of time, but you're doing great. He brings her big boss in here. And then they need somebody to go on this big stage on my level to teach all over all 50 states extensions, how to properly color extensions, whatever have you. OK, this is I'm just breaking it to you as raw as possible. So the big boss is saying like, hey, you know, like this girl is kind of a big deal.

[00:11:25] Let's get her, you know, let's get her the education. And this is like right off the bat, by the way. Let's get her the proper education. Let's not make her go through what we make all the other side go through. Oh, yeah. If I'm missing anything, you correct me, Shonda. No, I'm feeling it in. The big boss herself comes in and she's kind of like, holy shit, this girl is a big deal. Like, where have you been hanging? We need you on this stage. Dallas is coming up.

[00:11:55] This is like two years ago almost now. We need to get this girl to Dallas. We need to get her to this particular show. We need to get her all the proper education. We need her on this big stage because she's going to bring in all of these stylists. She knows what she's doing. And the person that we have now kind of, she's just an influencer. She doesn't know what she's doing. She's teaching people the wrong way. Okay. The company's made. So now I have a booth at premier that I spent my own hard-earned money because you know how it is.

[00:12:24] Like I've tried to join every team. The big hair extension company I was with prior, I was a platform artist for. I'm sorry. Like, I'm just telling it like it is. They did not want me on that team because I was black. That I know for a fact. I have emails. I have others up to back that up. So they just did not want me. They would always tell me my work was incorrect. Like whatever. So now I'm just looking. Can I grow up Paul Mitchell? Paul Mitchell has their own, their own extension company. This person, like I'm just dying to teach the youth.

[00:12:53] You know, this has always been a part of my retirement plan. Right? Yeah. Well, I'm explaining this to her and to her big boss. She's showing my work. We're going to say her name, Erica. Erica. Okay. She brings her big boss here. Messy, messy, messy boots. Okay. She's hearing all the conversation. They're going to get me off to Dallas so I can get on this big stage. The boss leaves. A week passes by. So you need to get on here because if you don't get on here and you don't go to Dallas right

[00:13:21] away and I know you have this show coming up, I'm like, dude, I spent over $75,000 of my own personal money. I will not miss premiere. I will not, not be at my booth. I will be at premiere. I cannot sit here and mess over my husband's money or my money. We've invested in this extension company. This is going to happen. She's like, you better get your little ass to Dallas. Right? That's a power. So I said, can I, can I take Shonda with me?

[00:13:49] And if we go to Dallas, it's going to be right after the show. It's going to be a rush. We have clients. Well, this is kind of a big deal. And if you don't get there, this is going to mess up. So I said, okay, fuck it. Let's go to Dallas. We're waiting. We're waiting. We're waiting to get everything. The big boss says I can get you one ticket. I said, that's okay. I can cover Shonda's ticket. It'll be fine. Whatever. So Erica does not want Shonda to come along with me because she knows that I want her. I want her on the educational stage with me. So? She doesn't want that to happen.

[00:14:20] Right? And that's why she wants to be a part of her moving up. So here's where shit starts getting strange. We're messaging her. Dallas, she never gets back with me. She says that her big boss did not give her the okay, did not get whatever. Okay, bitch. So when is the next show? Now you're missing Orlando. You smell his money. You're missing Orlando. So I didn't miss Orlando. So this show would have taken place right after Orlando.

[00:14:49] So I would do the premiere show and then the next few days I would have to take off to Dallas. Right? Right. We never moved to Dallas because she was holding a carrot over my head. Now she's trying to figure out how she can come along with me. Now I'm hearing all this shit about, well, you know, I was kind of like a big deal. I worked on the lamb shoot with Gwen Stefani and I did this and I said, okay, here the fuck we go. Right? Uh-huh.

[00:15:17] So I said, I never knew that you were a stylist. So she's telling me all of this stuff. Right? So she tells me about her career, how she had a salon on the beach, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. She ran so many salon. She managed a certain salon branch or whatever for this big company. I'm like, okay, Erica, but what does that have to do with Nemus in Dallas? You're not following up. Whatever. However, also you need to open up the educational courses that your boss told you to open up so I can finish.

[00:15:45] So I can be this big educator that travels all 50 states on this big stage. So she basically says so about that. They kind of just don't do this for anybody. Okay, and what are you going to do with your new salon? I still don't understand what this has to do with anything. Why you haven't connected us with Dallas. Okay, you're telling me that I have to wait now a whole nother year before this big show comes back. I have to wait an entire year now. And my educational stuff is almost finished.

[00:16:15] Okay, now at this point. Or she was rushing, telling us to get it done. She kept rushing and saying to get it done. But the closer we got, there was always an excuse why something else did not get done. So she goes, well, now where are you going to go and educate on this big stage and go all 50 states? Right. You now have a winter park salon and you're already struggling with that salon because you can't get help. You and Shonda are too busy at your winter garden location.

[00:16:41] Why don't you just let me help you with your winter park location and get you people in there? So now we're going to turn that location into a full blown Redken salon. This was the rep's recommendation. And that should be working for you? Oh, yeah. It gets worse. You already know that's a no-no, right? Wait, wait, wait. Hey, hey, yeah. Yeah. First they gaslight you and then they don't give you what they promise. And then they're going to come and encroach on what you already created. Correct.

[00:17:11] So here's where it gets really fucking juicy, right? And I want this story to get out because there's so many people that love me and they wonder why I went quiet. They knew this whole big show with all these good-named celebrities, stylists, and they now want to know why I'm not a part of it because they knew I was supposed to be a part of it. Now we're going to find out. Now we're going to find out why, right? So I can help you with the winter park store. I can help you.

[00:17:40] And I'm like, Erica, my landlord over there, he's very pushy. He's gotten out of line sexually with some of the girls there. Okay. I've heard that. A lot of the girls don't want it. They don't feel comfortable going there. One of the girls on the team was a federal judge's daughter, which I said, I'm filing the lawsuit. It's well underway. Long story short, I can go over there. I can handle it. I can deal with it or whatever. I said, so your company is going to allow you to run a salon with me.

[00:18:09] What about all of your other clients? There's a lot of salons in this area that you are a rep for those salons. Right. How are they now going to feel if you're running my salon for me? Oh, it's okay. And this is all in writing, by the way. I don't need to lie to you guys, to anybody, right? But the last two times I tried to speak up, I was called a liar. But I call it receipts, which I sent you kind of some receipts last night. Oh, what? That's nothing. It gets worse. Ooh.

[00:18:39] That gets worse. Well, now she's coming to my salon. No, people need to know this shit because they have bashed my salon. They have bashed Shonda. They have called us liars. They said that we were incapable of getting along with anybody, which is the fucking mine, because I have receipts. There are so many girls on my team. And there's another guy, by the way, not to change the subject, but I'm making a point here that I've been following him on social media, Instagram in particular. He's talking about the 40-60.

[00:19:09] I have had 24-year-olds hit six figures behind the chair in this salon with the strategies that I run. That is what Erica had her eyes on. There's so many misconceptions in this industry that you can't make any money. The salon owner is the big, bad wolf, okay? Yeah. Yeah. I 1099 you. I give you the right prices, the right marketing strategies. I put people in your chair. You get people and nobody can find out how I'm helping a 24-year-old right out of school

[00:19:39] hit her first six figures. It's because of a system. Systems work. People that don't work systems, the system won't work. Yeah. She comes in. She says they have no problem with her working and running my salon. But if she comes in, I must stay a Redken salon. I cannot be... Who else did I try to go with, Shonda? I tried to do that. Well, she was even trying to take away Kevin Murphy. She was trying to take away everything out of that place and just be individual.

[00:20:07] I couldn't be Kerastase because another big salon across the street for me was Kerastase. So I couldn't be a L'Oreal salon. And then she tried to fucking degrade me by saying... They're all in the same company. Yeah. They're all in the same company. Yeah. She tried to degrade me by saying, can you afford Kerastase? Oh. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.

[00:20:35] Can you afford Kerastase? And I was offended. I said, well, you see my numbers. You know what I bring in. You know my lifestyle. Why would I not be able to afford it? But she is gaslighting you to get something. We don't know what ulterior motive is. Not yet. But you're sort of clear, aren't you? Oh, we know what it is. Yeah. So I put a new strip Kevin Murphy for me towards my competitors. They're carrying Orbe. They're carrying Kerastase.

[00:21:05] How can I fucking compete in Winter Park when my competitors, okay, are carrying the big brands? Like, I have to have a luxury brand. I am going to fucking keep Kevin Murphy. Well, you're not going to keep Kevin Murphy. You have to do this and you have to buy this. So I listened to her. I needed the help. My dumb ass listens to her. She starts working for me and running my Winter Park location. Oh.

[00:21:31] So Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, she can't fucking come to work. Why? Because Monday through Friday, you're working your job with this big corporation. You have to be there with them. And you don't have a fucking cosmetology license, by the way. And you're working in my salon. The one time, the one time that I did not background check somebody, she hadn't had a license since 2020. 2020. 2020. Oh.

[00:22:00] So now she's in my salon. She's supposed to be doing technicals. She's hiding from State Board. We have receipts. We got receipts. And I warn this company, if you don't, if you don't stick up for me and you don't do something about it because she was under your umbrella, I will start speaking out. And here the fuck we are. So now, so now she's not showing up. Her and I are getting into fights, right? I said, Shonda, she doesn't come to work Monday through Friday.

[00:22:30] The girls, when they have a technical on Monday, she was coming in on their time, on the time that she's supposed to be working for this big corporation. She's coming in an hour here, an hour there, and she's doing the technicals. Some of the technicals, she don't show up at all. So we have to do them later because State Board wouldn't stop by after Friday. State Board wouldn't stop by because she didn't have a license. Yeah, she would avoid it. And then the member adding to the fact that they actually tried to come and she hid from them because she had to come in.

[00:22:59] And the State Board didn't come to do my inspection. Well, she stayed in the car. She hid in her car. She hid in her car. Then she goes, well, I think State Board is here. I'm like, okay, so if I can take your ass inside and let them do your inspection. Yep. Yeah. They had to call me. It's fucking hell. But I'm missing a part. She has me to hire this girl, Joanna. She convinces me to pay Joanna $600 a week out of my own pocket. For what?

[00:23:26] To sit at the salon for four or five hours, if that, as we were building. They were robbing me blind, dude. They were just like, and this is stuff that people, and here's the thing. My accountant has gotten on to me about it. They even tried to turn me into the state of Florida because I stopped paying. And one of the ladies I talked to at the state, she goes, this is the craziest thing I've ever heard of. They're going to try to report you for helping them live a better life until they can get to where? Okay.

[00:23:55] So they're going to have to pay for the taxes, and so are you. Now what? Yeah. So this girl was supposed to be watching the salon because Erica, who's supposed to have been there, couldn't be there because she worked for this big corporation. So she's double dipping, man. Yeah, double dipping. And based off of what I found out, she's done it on more than one occasion. I'm just the only one that had the balls to blow the whistle.

[00:24:20] So during this whole process, her and I are fighting, and I'm like, she'll be like, what the fuck? I said, she's live so many times, I need you to do me a favor. We have a background checking system when we hire people. Please do me a favor. Do a background check on her. Oh, boy. We run the background check. She has no fucking license. Meanwhile, she's in my salon. She's fighting with the young girls. She's fighting with the older girls in there.

[00:24:46] She's telling all these high-end clients in Winter Park to not go to some of the girls because she wants the money. Because the way that I pay, she wants the money, right? Well, you know, she's starting to get paid. She wants them all out of the way. She also called to make sure she got her check a week early than everybody else. She paid immediately. I paid her top dollar. It was a mess. And then she tried to deny it on a 1099. We have proof. So when I finally blew the whistle.

[00:25:15] Oh, let's not forget the part because I'm getting to the good part. To where she was contacting stylists and other salons underneath her company's umbrella. To get them to fucking leave their salon. To come and work at my salon. Oh, hell no. Oh, yeah. So to leave their salon and to come work at my salon. Oh, you push that. Trying to get me to promise her that I would take care of them. And give them a higher percentage.

[00:25:45] And so this is one of those people that thinks the owner should be poor. And the stylist. So where's your advertisement going to come from? Where's all this? So she's going to pull from a salon called Bonvi. Because they need to look behind her. She's going to pull me two stylists from there. She's going to pull me a stylist from a salon called Preve. She's going to pull a stylist from what's the guy's name. But I really loved him and his wife. She's going to pull somebody from Angel Salon.

[00:26:13] Oh, A collab. So at that time. And these are people that I look up to. The A collab. Oh, that's not cool. Like I really loved him and his wife. That's a whole other story. And so one of the guys that they were going to pull from their salon. He's really big under the same company's umbrella. I will mention his name. And I said, let me tell you something. No matter how much help I need. And how bad the situation is right now. One thing I will not do is go against integrity. Say whatever you want to say about me.

[00:26:43] If you're going to try to go poach from somebody else's salon. This has been writing, by the way. And if I ever say anything on the internet, I have receipts. So she's going to go poach. And I said, we're not doing that here. I don't care. One stylist in here. We're not doing that here. Right? So she knew that the situation with my landlord did not align sexually with my staff. She knew that my fiance was really sick. She knew that I needed help. She knew that Shauna and I were running and trying to juggle both salons while taking all

[00:27:12] of their education at night. So get the picture. Let me bring all the picture here together for you. She's working for my salon. She's not supposed to be working for my salon. Under contract. Under the umbrella, under her contract. She's not allowed to work for any salon. What? Are you? Yeah. Oh, yeah. No, there's a full contract that they signed. It's like ages long. So then she's trying to take people, clients of this big corporation. She's trying to take from their salons to bring to my salon. No.

[00:27:42] And they are also clients of this massive corporation. This is a shit that goes on. This is a shit that goes on behind the scenes that nobody wants to talk about. Okay. Because when we speak up, you're a liar. You're a liar. You're a liar. And I've had to be quiet about this. I've been quiet about this for almost two years. Yeah. Because of a lawsuit. Oh. One thing about it is receipts. You can't deny receipts. Yeah. So I don't know really how much damage they think they're going to be able to do to me because I have receipts.

[00:28:10] So when everything starts to come to a head, I'm on to her. We find her license. So I said, you fucking bitch. And now I'm angry. Yeah. You are just saying. This whole time, you don't have a fucking license. You're a disgrace to this industry. You're doing this to other salon owners, right? So you'll probably fucking turn around and do this to me. Go poach. As soon as I build my business, you're going to go poach my stylist to give to another salon. And you want me to give these people free extensions, free this, free that.

[00:28:40] You are the reason why I'm not on that big stage. You held me back for an entire fucking year. I am working around the clock, a full book of clients, extensions, bonding, corrections. Sometimes we get home like 10 o'clock at night. Then I have to go to the computer and take all of my educational courses to become an educator to go on this big stage. So I'm like literally up at night like this. Yeah. So I finished all of my stuff.

[00:29:09] Now I'm trying to keep my mouth shut. She's pushing me. I'm like, Shonda, what the fuck do we do? We're like one class away from hitting the stage. Yeah. We're one class. I was the one in South Florida at Fort Myers that got canceled due to a hurricane. They rescheduled it and they said, you can't come until the next year. This was at the end of like mid-year or whatever. They say, sorry, it's not until March of next year you can start or finish that up.

[00:29:38] And I'm like, so I'm going to wait till next year. They kept getting pushed off and pushed off. I spent the money. What's going on? I spent thousands of dollars investing in this company. I spent the money. I took the trip she told me I needed to take. Now she's trying to get to the Promise Summit salon. She's trying to get to do all of this stuff, right? So now I'm pissed because I know that she's like, she's fucked with my career. Yeah. Okay. So now I'm really, really, really pissed. I go and I say something.

[00:30:05] Her big boss, the one that she's so close with, all of a sudden everything's changing. They get, she gets moved to an over, she gets moved to the big boss of another big name brand. Another big brand. Yep. Yep. The other one gets moved around. I have no rep. I've taken all this education. What the fuck are you guys going to do? Because I'm the victim here. So I talked to this lady by the name of Jodi. Jodi's like, I believe everything that you're saying to me.

[00:30:35] We just got to figure this out. So the big boss puts me in touch with Jodi because she doesn't want to deal with it. I'm going to put you with somebody at Erica's level. Well, you were, you, you were best friends with her. You, you, you know, y'all were the closest. This is, you guys are the best friends. Now this is a big boss of all 50 States. So you're going to put, and you've been working closely with me the whole time. What does Erica have over your head?

[00:31:02] Now that you have to put me in contact with somebody else when it's been me. You Erica and Shonda doing this shit the whole time. Why all of a sudden next thing I know I'm pushing and pushing. What the fuck is going on? Give me an answer. Okay. I'm out of money to grow with your company. What the fuck is going on here? I wasn't allowed to be a carousel salon. I wasn't allowed to be a L'Oreal salon. I can only be a wreck in salon.

[00:31:30] So I wouldn't be competing with anybody else. Okay. Where's my fucking money? What about my points? Who's over my account? What's going to happen with the ticket that I just paid for. So now the top educator up in New York, who I've been in direct contact with, who's so excited because I had a zoom meeting with them. Who's so excited that I have all the platform education. I have all this experience. They're so excited about me joining this massive team.

[00:31:58] I'm sitting in the front of my salon and I'm in fucking tears, which I'm very emotional now. And I look at her and I know that I have to tell her the truth. Yes. I said, because of integrity, the integrity that I have for myself, I can no longer be a part of your educational team. Wow. I wanted this so bad. I said, I can no longer be a part of your educational team because your company does not stand for morals, values, and respect. Okay.

[00:32:28] Or they would have fallen through regardless. I am a small town country girl. I was raised the right way. I said, due to morals, values, and respect, here is what happened. Uh-huh. And I got to give her, I got to give her kudos because she's a bad bitch. She held it together, but I could see her getting emotional because she knew how bad I wanted it. And her and the other big educator at the big, the big. Did she make it right in any way? Did she do anything for you? No, it was out of her hands.

[00:32:59] No, it was out of her hands. Because they could have done something about it. And that's the only reason why I'm on this talking to you. Because they should have fucking done something about it. So all of the people at the top of the food chain that could have done something about it. Yeah. Including connecting with corporate to try to get some of the people that were the higher ups that are on that same level as the bigger boss. Still, there was only so much she could say or do. And she sympathized. There was nothing. It was like this block.

[00:33:28] You know, and then they were like, oh, well, you could be because they know shit was hitting the fan. So then they were like, well, you could come out to New York. You can meet with all the other influencers for this big corporation. And you can be a part of the educational influencer, the influencer team. And let's just they were covering their ass. And let's just see how you get along with them. Like kind of like if they like you, you like them. And I'm like, no. No. No way. I'm not doing that.

[00:33:57] They offered you a steak and now they're throwing you Brits crackers. They're wanting you to pretend like it's a steak. Breadcrumbs. So now I'm really mad and I'm pushing this as far. I'm trying to get it to corporate. I'm contacting attorneys. I'm pushing it as far as I can push it. Because the one thing that most people don't have in their cases or they're going to sue or whatever is receipts. Yep. All of this stuff was via text message. A lot of it was via email. I'm calling her out. Now I got both of her bosses. I'm like, you're a fucking liar.

[00:34:27] You've been working for my salon. So she said the magical words. You are a liar. I've never worked for you. I said, let me go grab that. Hold on. Hold on a second. Pull the fucking receipts. Yeah. Pull the receipts. Connect all of her bosses and shoot it up and email it to them right now. Yeah. So now they fire her. Allegedly. They fire her. Now I'm starting to get out.

[00:34:56] My Instagram gets hacked out of nowhere. I'm getting all these messages from stylists. One was like, really mean, oh, you're just as ugly on the inside as you are on the out. You treat stylists so poorly or whatever. I said, well, if you feel that way, I'm sorry that you're insecure, that you need to say that about me. But I like my fucking self. I actually think I'm pretty. So whoever you are, why don't you show your fucking face and we can have a conversation like a grown ass woman. Okay.

[00:35:25] If that's how you feel, do it. Then I get another message like you have the worst salon. So now they're fucking with my business. Right. And getting other people to do it. So they went for a smear campaign. Correct. And sabotage and everything. Oh, yeah. And you're with my sister, other stylists that she was supposed to introduce me to in Nashville. Because we got a forensic person. It's all them. Oh, but you didn't leave out a part two where she went through.

[00:35:49] Remember, she got a hold of another salon that was trying to purchase from us through our other part of our business. And that sabotaged a business relationship that could have built us. Yeah, she called me like homeless, the $30,000 contract. Because in all of a sudden, it changed. I met them in person. And then all of a sudden, the second time, oh, I'm sorry, we're not interested. And oh, this. And I said, who's your representative? And then when they told me, I'm like, no way. Oh, we're leaving on another specific detail.

[00:36:19] So that year at the show that I couldn't back out, that I had the boot. Yep. According to her in writing, the big boss of all 50 states was interested in my hair extension company. Yep. So they'd approach that. I didn't know that all of these people, after I did some digging, all of their jobs were up for grabs because the big corporation was changing over. So a lot of people were going to be getting fired. So I really feel to this day that she was holding on to me as her little cash cow.

[00:36:48] She lost her job because all their jobs are up for grabs, which they all got pushed into different roles. Rearranged. Yeah. Rearranged all of a sudden. There was that. I do have a writing where she says, oh, where's the booth? My boss wants to come by and see. He's interested in getting invested in your hair extension company. And I'm like, how are they doing all of this under this big corporation? Yeah. Yeah. It was a whole fucking mess. So when she knew that I was getting rid of her, she went into my clientele list.

[00:37:15] She went into my clientele list, started sending them to another salon in Winter Park. No way. Her and Joanna trashed my salon. I can submit the videos and pictures to you guys. Yes, McLeese trashed it. They trashed my salon. I want those photos. I want to see this. They left the coffee. Oh, it was disgusting. Wow. It was disgusting. So, yeah. And she was helping her go into my system, contact clients, all of this stuff. Right?

[00:37:43] That's taking someone's personal information and email. That's trade ships. And she made a shit ton of money with me in a short period of time. That's the part that hurts me the most because they put on the internet, I don't take care of stylists. I don't... When I met Shonda, Shonda was booth renting for me. And I told her she was going through a hard time. And I hate this shit in our industry. I fucking hate it. And I said, Shonda, you're not making real money. Yeah. I wasn't. Yeah. Let me show you how to make some real fucking money. Right?

[00:38:12] Because, you know, salon owners are bad. You know, we only want to give them 40% and we take 60%. Who's going to do the advertisement? Uh-huh. Because 40% of the right salon with the right prices is over six figures a year. And we've more than that here. I don't need to lie to anybody about that. I bring receipts. So my biggest problem is they saw the information. They saw everything. Okay. Oh, we fired her. Oh, that's good to hear the problem. No, run on your worry. Shut up. We fired her.

[00:38:42] Yeah. Shut up. We fired her. I said, oh, no, no, no, no. It doesn't work that way now. You fired her, but I have unfinished business with you motherfuckers. So now what are we going to do about the damage that's been done to my business? Who will my rep be now? What are you guys going to do to compensate me for going through dealing with this fucking monster, by the way, that you guys already knew was a monster? Because when I talk to Jodi, I believe everything you're saying. I believe every single thing you're saying.

[00:39:11] This is not going to be good. I'm going to go report this to the higher ups. So now I'm pushing and pushing and pushing. I'm calling the level place, wondering about my points, wondering about my ticket because I have this ticket for this class that's coming up. And now all this shit has happened. Nobody wants to communicate with me. Nobody wants to tell me anything. So she's calling. I'm calling. We're pushing. We're being put on hold. I'm calling every one of their little areas here, all their little stores around the Orlando area.

[00:39:41] Somebody please help me. Somebody speak up. This lady is ruining my business. This is what happened. Blah, blah, blah. Oh, well, she no longer works for us anymore. So now they said I'm harassing them. Oh, I was wondering when that was going to come up. We're harassing them. We're slandering their name. Some bitch named Carol gets in touch with me. And Carol was disgusting. Yeah, that was bad. Carol was fucking disgusting.

[00:40:06] Basically telling me to leave them alone or she's going to file whatever. It's going to be considered stalking or whatever. I have to see because it's null and void. It doesn't, you know, it's not for our business to deal with anymore. Have a nice day. Like, just shit down. It happened under your name, your corporation. You're going to fucking do something about this. And if you don't do anything about this, I'm going to file a lawsuit with all the receipts. Yeah. Right? We don't care. Nice trying. Okay. Yeah.

[00:40:35] And so that's pretty much how it ended. Yeah. But that's, I know these big companies. I know how they operate. It's just gaslight, gaslight. Then they go silent. Mm-hmm. And they disappear. You know, then it's like, you know, oh, well, it's not our problem. This is a you problem. They went silent to move everybody around so they could get rid of it. That's what they did. Yeah. And between that, she still tried to contact other representatives from different companies

[00:41:03] that we order from to try to get stuff under our name with like products. They sort of blacklist my phone. It was so shady. They sort of blacklist my phone. Why didn't she get contact? Because the rep's like, why did she contact me? I'm like, she doesn't work for us. Why would she contact you to get something under our name? Then trying to get along into emails and stuff that were, that were emailed that we created under our business. Why would you do that? Now, let's not say the brand because we've been fucked over by them too. So she tried to call Brazilian Blowout an order from the rep underneath my name, under my shirt.

[00:41:33] Yeah. Because we wanted to take my clients to another, to another salon. Because once she stole, she needed to make that money. Yeah. And you to pay for the product for her to go somewhere else and do it. Yeah. Yeah. And then a few months ago, this year, a few months ago, she tried to log into my Square account with her whole app. Yep. That's in, that's in writing too. But no, this is the problem though. This is a shit that nobody wants to talk about. Yeah. Okay.

[00:42:02] This is a shit nobody. And we have another one that's even worse than that. The guy did not want to, we did a year, four or five months worth of education with leaf and flower. And the big guy that's over that he ignored us for an entire year. So when I spoke out about that with another big artist, cause she's talking about how the companies don't want to hire, you know, females that they only want to hire, you know, and some of my gay guy friends have told me too. If you're not gay, they're not going to do it. Right. Like, and I love all of my gay friends and stuff, but this is one of my gay guy friends who's at the top of the food chains.

[00:42:32] Mia, you're not, they're not going to, they're not going to hire you. Well, I spoke out about it online. Right. And when I spoke out about it, one of his little minions came and said, aren't you half Lebanese? Didn't we talk at the hair show two years ago? I'm like, I don't understand what that has to do with anything. Tell me why he tells me to study to become an educator with your company. And this is a writing. Cause I told Erica, if you're not going to do what you need to do with the other company, then I'm going to go educate for this company. So I'm studying for both of these companies.

[00:43:01] He's he ignored Shauna, this other guy, he ignored Shauna and I for an entire year. So when I spoke out online, he sends me a private message and says, Oh, I'm sorry. Like I get so busy. And one of his educators, who's also Lebanese, she goes, well, I met you. He's not like that. He would never do that. And I'm like, well, why else would he not call me back? Come to find out he used to date my old roommate. So I would just be like, I just wasn't good enough for after you had me studying and doing all this type of stuff.

[00:43:31] And he was also in community to buy you as well. That's the thing. They treat you along. So you keep buying and buying. They make the promises. He was afraid that she was going to take his job. That's why. So you go, you come into this industry. What's sad is there's all these young people coming into this industry and they're so excited and they don't know. And I know this happens in other industries, but they don't know, like there's these clicks and most of them, it's not about, it's not about white or black.

[00:43:59] It's just, are you going to be a part of the click? Right. Yeah. So same thing with the educational extension company. I know for a fact they did not want to go any further with me because I was black that I know for a fact. Okay. There were some emails and some messages that were sent to me and that's fine. But there's multiple companies that will discriminate against you for different reasons. Right. They have their little clicks. They're people that go to the top of the food chain with them. Okay.

[00:44:25] And they don't want you to come up with them because you're just going to be in the way. So those are the worker bees, the queen bees. And they get us to go and buy all of these products. We build them up. That's how it works. They go to Amazon. They go everywhere else. They sell from underneath us. Same thing. Working with Kevin Murphy. We were on their directory list. They sell a lot. Now my customers who were exclusive for so long are now going to another company to buy a product. It's right on Amazon.

[00:44:55] It's like right there. Watching all the distributors and everything around here, just getting it off. It's gone. One of my friends runs crazy. He was just, I walked in, we're going to go have lunch and he's just taking everything down. He's pissed. He's like straight on to fucking up. I'm like, well, what do you do? But you know, they can do that to us. And the reason why they can do that to us is because we won't stick together in this industry. We won't stick together.

[00:45:23] When I started that extension company, I left another, I walked off the platform stage. I said, I'm fucking done. This hair is a synthetic human blend. I am fucking done. I will not have hairstylists get upset with me about this anymore. I'm done. So I built my own extension company. I've had the last straw. I reached out to so many different salons within my area, but because they felt like I was their competition, don't want to be a part of it.

[00:45:51] So you would rather go spend three times the amount when there's a middleman involved with a company that you know, it's not 100% human hair. Then to band together with your peers in your industry, right? And grow something together. And that's just how our industry is. Don't go to that salon. The owners talk shit. The staff talk shit. They talk shit about each other. You know, the ones they start off new. They're in this salon next month. They're in another salon. This one can't get along.

[00:46:21] So now this one's in a suite. And that's just how this industry is. And it's disgusting. And then they'll go and blame it on you because it's your fault that they don't have. Yeah. It's your fault that, you know, they're the asshole. It's your fault that, you know, they can't sit there and really listen and try to grow with the company instead of just trying to fight so many people that come into our business. It's always our fault. Half the time is the fact they come in and they don't want to sit and build like you're supposed to back in the day. That's what you do.

[00:46:50] You never know who's going to walk in the door. You never know what's going to happen. You educate yourself to learn. Nobody wants to do that anymore. Figures are the ones that go out. Yeah. We have a whole system here. You go out twice a month to two events. When you're not busy, you take your ass out. We're like in the heart of downtown at both locations. You go out, there's money over here. Go out and pass out five to 10 cards a day. The salon is going to give you people, the girls and the guys that listen to me on that level.

[00:47:19] I guarantee you their whole lifestyle has upgraded. Yeah. The hustle works. And it still does to this day. Even when business cards are irrelevant. I just redid my business cards because my clients are all, where's your business cards? And I just ran out a few days ago and I'm like, oh my God. They will help bring you back somebody before, you know. Yeah. You got a QR code. There's so many ways. Like, you know, always find a way. But my brother's cards cost me 70 bucks. Really? Right there.

[00:47:46] I mean, like there's no excuse that you can't do it. And there's straight. It's just like, I feel like with some of the ugliness, it just takes the fun out of it. You know what I'm saying? Oh, it does. It totally does. And I think with these conversations and getting it out there, this is what it's going to take to kind of go through and change this industry. So we can get it back to what it used to be like. You know, what it is. We never speak up.

[00:48:12] There's a, when people watch this, they're going to be like, oh my gosh, it's so dramatic. This is true. When I pull my hairdresser, it's just a bunch of bitter old stylists. Like I read the content. I know what people say. But the thing is, and I said this to somebody not even like a week ago. I wanted to come work at my salon. And I didn't tell you about this, Shauna, because you would have been pissed off. She wants to work at my salon. She's heard. So that's number one. You've already fucked up right there.

[00:48:39] So whatever you heard, whoever you heard it from, you need to go fucking work for them and go work with them. But I asked her, I let her finish. And I said, how do you hate on somebody that works from 10 in the morning to fucking 10 o'clock at night? You could see we got receipts when we check out. Oh yeah. Yeah. And I'm doing like how some of these people come on here and lie, which is why we, why Erica wanted to ride my coattails. Cause Jess in a few weekends she worked, she made thousands. Yeah. Thousands with me.

[00:49:09] And I sent those receipts. My client will tell you, they drove by, oh, your car's still there. It's 10 o'clock at night. It's 11 o'clock at night. What are you guys doing at work? Correct. There's not us. Everybody knows. I'm cleaning. I'm doing the plumbing. I'm doing everything I need to do. I'm working. Yeah. We were there. When do I have time to be the boogeyman? When do I have time to get involved in gossip? I've got some serious fucking, during that time I was putting out over 50 grand a fucking month between the two locations and we're small, but big, right?

[00:49:39] Right. Type of services. And since day one in my, in my, uh, business, I've always specialized in blondes and extensions and it's everywhere now on every corner. Everybody's a one specialist. Everybody's an extension specialist. Everybody's there, but whatever. But the real, the real key and the real thing is how, how many hours are you working? When do you, what time do you guys close? Are you only the, the stylist that comes in two to three days and then you want to go home? You come in for a half a day.

[00:50:09] I'm 46 years old and I'm still working from 10 to 10, sometimes from 10 to 12, go home, get a shower, a small bite to eat. And I'm on the phone with China exporting and import. But you're missing out. No, no, no. We, when we wake up, it's on the computer till we get to work, finish up the emails, conversation, get to work, work, get off of work, back on the computer, eat a little bit, then go to bed. That is the day. Seven days. Yeah.

[00:50:36] Because I'm so tired of these big corporations and people like most of the people are sheep. Okay. You guys, you guys, yeah, you guys stood out and you did something different. You're changing lives. Someone like me that didn't even want to speak out. You inspired me to speak out. I know. I really want to know, Shonda and Mila, I want to know in what time frame did all of this shit show take place? Like a year and a half. That's a short, that's a short period of time for somebody to come in and worry.

[00:51:05] Yeah. Yeah. And for somebody just, as staring the pot and mark up your world. Well, it trickled over to, up to two years due to the, and I'm thinking the other show, what was it? 2024, what were 26? You're right. It was almost two years. Almost. Because it, it was the year of hell. And then right before that, when she came in and then after that with a trickle of, was the last conversations that she's had with the, you know, the higher up. So, so it's like the repair work took another year.

[00:51:36] Yeah. Yeah. It was all leftovers of stuff. And then, you know, like she said, right. On an email, trying to, trying to log into an email in our system from contacting, I get, you know, Brazilian blow. I'm like, well, what are you doing? Like, well, that's not even your, that's not okay. The rep was like, Hey, like she's trying to buy stuff on your account. Yeah. And I'm glad he said something too. I love him to death though. I won't say his name, but he knows, he knows. I mean business. Yeah.

[00:52:03] He was like, he was like, um, when I asked him what happened with the educator for leaf and flower and he's like, I don't know me. I am like, I just, I don't know. Like, I'm like, it's okay. Right. He got nervous. That's what's happened the entire, my entire career. So coming out of the cosmetology school, I've always been an overachiever. I learned from lavish lashes. I trained with Socap Miami. Like I've always overachieved. I'm a stylist that spends a thousand dollars to just get there. Right.

[00:52:33] Yeah. So, and that intimidates the fuck out of people. She ain't coming to my education team. They don't have that word. She's not taking my fucking job, you know, and they won't be honest. So these companies, they hire these people. But with my experience, I feel like, and correct me if I'm wrong, because I know you guys have experience as well. I feel like they go get some of the meanest, shittiest people that they can to run and be higher up in these companies because they just, I don't get it.

[00:53:02] How do you make somebody more educate and take testing for a year just to fucking ignore them for a year? Well, some of those companies, right, is what you can get away with. If you can get away with it, it means you're right. Yeah. But they're getting paid for a placeholder. They have to fill that spot. I could never think for the life of me, why would you do that to somebody? You don't go. If you work for a big corporation and your job is to bring in some of the best educators within the U.S., okay?

[00:53:30] And you know you got somebody that has more than the experience needed to educate for you. Why the fuck would you sit there? Get back with me when you're done with education. So we're texting this fucker's phone. We're doing everything we're supposed to do. One entire year passed by. He did not respond to me or Shonda. And then when I called him out online, his minion got in the comments and was like, oh yeah, you're half Lebanese, right? Way out of conversation. What the fuck does that have to do?

[00:53:59] It has nothing to do with it. We're busy an entire fucking year. How are you successful? Yeah. You're busy. How are you successful? Make it make sense. And if it doesn't make sense, it makes sense. You did not want me on your team because you thought I was going to take your job. And there is a conflict of interest there. But instead of saying that, no, let's go bash this girl. Instead of calling a duck a duck or saying, hey, I'm sorry. Oh, we get so busy. We get so busy.

[00:54:27] That's not the first time that's happened with you, with other companies. And going through all the conversations you're talking about where, you know, with your history, people have been intimidated by you because of your experience, right? Because of your drive, because of your work ethic. And when people get that little place where they're comfortable, they don't want anybody to take it and don't realize everybody gets better with a team. And that's something that back in the day, that's what we did. And now everybody's individualizing, you know, whether in suites and by themselves,

[00:54:54] because they could try to grow by themselves, but you grow more with a team. And that with the old school hairdressers, you know, that's something that we kind of we still remember. You know, I went out, I worked with a team. I was pretty worried. What they want to do is they want to go through, give us much misinformation out there, keep everyone separate. So that's why everyone fucking hates each other. That way they stay in control. And it's a power trip. So at the end of the day. Okay. So we're here.

[00:55:24] We're here now today. Please tell me where you guys stand now and that you're in a healing part or a progressive part and you have light at the end of the tunnel. I mean, how have you gotten through this? And please tell me that there's, there's some not just hope because I mean, you guys are resilient, but please tell me what your success is going to be or already is. If that makes sense to you. Well, we're, I mean, like I said, the more people that are negative or that believes a gossip

[00:55:53] or whatever, like, but we're so successful and we're, we're still around and we're growing every single day. The thing would be if I would have given up and she can tell you, there was a time I was so depressed about the situation. Like everybody sees me. Oh, she's a strong person. She's on platform. Like I've worked with some pretty big people, right? Like I come from the days where you had to sign a, what do you call it? A non-disclosed, non-compete, non-corgia. There's lots of big people in Hollywood.

[00:56:21] And that's when you, you can't even say, you know what I'm saying? So now everybody's, you get where I'm going with this. Yeah. Best revenge. That's what I was going to get. You just, you took the words right out. So, and that's just it. If, if you know me, you know me. If you, you haven't taken the chance to get to know me and somebody told you something, I can't fucking respect that anyways, because you didn't get a chance to know me for yourself. And that's what I hate the most.

[00:56:47] There's a lot of people that could use the help that could use, you know, the support that would be a part of something meaningful. Right. But because they're listening, what have I listened to? One of my friends told me, don't go on that. I showed her your show. Don't go on that show. Don't know. Right. Well, this was a gossip show. I'm like, no, people need to know. Okay. Then work out. So many people coming in here and gossiping and telling us the fucking truth.

[00:57:17] I mean, we're getting. He's running like, Hey, where'd you hear this from? Oh, my. What he was saying about the, you know, the, the revenge is that it's, it's us staying focused on the goal and the direction of where we're going, no matter what, whatever we have to do on a legality standpoint is what we're going to do regardless. And everybody's just going to sit back in the sidelines and watch it no matter where they're at, no matter what they're doing. So it always comes. I'll get my pom-poms on.

[00:58:12] I'm not going to say bitter, but angry because there are people that could have spoke up and said something, but they're so on their high horse and they're so, and I remember saying to the lady and I'll leave you with this. I remember saying to the head educational team with this big corporation in New York, cause I was invited directly to New York. And I said to her, I said, well, what happens now?

[00:58:40] And basically like, are you going to speak up? Like, is the company together or is it? No, we own that company too. Yep. So I knew. So I knew at that moment there wasn't shit going to be done unless I tried to file a lawsuit or I keep pushing. So every day I'm trying to find more people that they fucked over so I can become this big thing where more and more people are speaking out, but she, it took everything in her not to cry.

[00:59:09] I could see the tears in her eyes and everything because she saw how bad I was. I mean, I'm just full on crying and I'm like, I've worked so hard for this. So hard for this. Why won't somebody else speak up? And she just sat there and kind of stared at me when I stared at her and I said, because of integrity, my heart ain't going to let me do it. And I stayed up for a year taking all of their educational courses, everything they told me to do, passing all of their courses.

[00:59:37] And I was one course away from hitting the big stage. And for me, they were still going to do it. Were you though? That's the thing. Yeah. I'm going to ask the same thing now. Come on.
